MY WEDDING IS IN DECEMBER! Yikes! Need to lose at least 60 more lbs!

It's low sodium turkey bacon, and I microwave it. Very lean and no fried food here!

Everyone says that...... heavier people burn more calories in less time than thin people.

So nice, thank you!

Thanks, and my daily goal is 1950 but like I said, my workouts have been crazy so that ups my calorie goal. Peanut butter seems to be the way everyone says to get some calories. Those Elvis bars the second poster mentioned sound really yummy but the recipe I looked up had sooo much sugar! So I'm not sure yet, but I know I…

Sounds great, I'll look up a recipe! Unless you have one... lol

You should try protein shakes. I have ISO-100 in Gourmet Chocolate. I blend it in a blender with half cup of skim milk, cup of ice, and half of a banana. Genuinely tastes like a milkshake and it's only 100 calories and almost 30g of protein AND no fat! I also take a multivitamin every day to guarantee I get my vitamins and…

I skip logging days every once in a while when I'm not in town. Also, I don't eat eggs.. yuck! I don't see anything wrong with grapes... they are fruit & that is better than chocolate.

OKAY.. thanks for the positive posts- it is a lot to take in and I am going to try to fix it. BUT can you guys recommend some foods to fill up my calories but NOT my carbs? That's my biggest problem and often the reason I don't eat very many calories. Also, the machines and MFP are all I have to go off of regarding…

Some of them are calculated on cardio machines- I enter my weight and age and it adds them up for me. Then I do crossfit workouts which I log as circuit training- and I always log 20 minutes less than what I actually do because I think MFP overestimates calories burned during circuit training. My workouts have been very…

I eat so few calories because I find it very hard to eat close to 1900 calories without going over on carbs. My doctor told me as long as I eat when I am hungry my body will not go into starvation mode. Could you guys elaborate on how I am doing severe damage to my body?

What??
-
Thanks everyone. i will try not to worry about it and see what happens next week.
-
Can you explain this a little more??
-
OH haha nevermind. No, it was last week.

I'm 24 and have had PCOS for 5 years. My testosterone and insulin levels used to be really high. Through diet and exercise (and Yasmin) all of my blood levels continue to come back normal. I go to my endocrinologist every 6 months to do lab work. She prescribed me Metformin to begin with, but I am AWFUL with swallowing…

The last time I binged on pizza, I typed up a letter to myself describing in detail how I awful I felt, mentally and physically. Every time I am craving it I open the letter and read it and remember how it made me feel and remind myself that I don't want to feel that way again.

I talked to my doctor about "starvation mode" She said.. As long as I am eating every 2.5 to 3 hours my body will not go hungry. If you are eating this often, your body steadily has energy to burn and will not crash. But if you feel yourself getting hungry, do not ignore this feeling. Eat when you are physically hungry!

Five years ago, I was losing weight. I was at my lowest ever as an adult. Over my anniversary weekend, I gained 8 pounds, and I became very discouraged and went off my diet. In the year after that, I gained 90 pounds. Honestly- because of that one bad weekend. It's one of the biggest regrets of my life. Don't let a few bad…

Since your BMR is the amount of calories your body burns with no help from you being active, that is how many calories it needs in one day. Not eating your BMR can severely slow down your metabolism because your body goes into starvation mode from not having enough fuel.

I acutally have the problem of being hungry half way through the night. So it's good news to hear I don't have to go without a bedtime snack. Thanks.
-
Wow, thanks everyone!

I'm finding that it happens most often after a meal with chicken breast, but I'm not completely sure that's the cause. Unless there's a reason it could be.
