How long before sleep should I have my last snack?

I have always heard it is not good to eat too close to bedtime. What is the best time frame for my after-dinner snack?

You heard wrong. If it's within your caloie intake for the day, eat whenever makes you happy.

^^^^^This. From what I've read lately, there's no scientific evience that eating close to bedtime makes it harder to lose weight.

All of the above is true. BUT! If you have reflux problems or find going to bed with a full/semi full stomach is uncomfortable, then the cut off is around 2 hours. Personally, I have reflux if I eat too close to bedtime, so I get a light snack an hour before bed. But it won't hinder weightloss, heck, I know someone who's lost 60 pounds and kept it off for years who eats IN bed then goes to sleep.

If it fits in your caloric intake than take your snack to bed with you, I do every night. No set schedule to follow just get your calories in .....

I acutally have the problem of being hungry half way through the night. So it's good news to hear I don't have to go without a bedtime snack. Thanks.

    Absolutely.

If I don't eat before bed I wake up hungry. Spread your food out the way that makes your body feel happy.
