Hi skinnygirl042 ! I'm also turning 45 this year. I'm trying to lose the last 10 lbs! It's moving soooo slow. But I'm also focusing more on health and fitness more than in the past. I'm finding that doing an extra pushup or running a little further is almost as rewarding as a pound lost. Best of Luck to you in your journey…

Seitan, tempeh and tofu can be used as protein sources to replace meat. I haven't tried the jackfruit yet but heard it's really good. One of my new favorites is Portobello mushroom fajitas. You can find so many recipes on Pinterest to experiment with. Good Luck! I've been a vegetarian for a long time and don't miss meat at…

Can add to smoothies, overnight oats or make a pudding with them.

Hi! I'm a vegetarian leaning towards vegan. I have almost completely cut out cheese- only eat it outside my home now. I still have a few eggs a week until I get better at eating enough protein from just plant based food. I have found tons of recipes on Pinterest and am going to commit to making a few a week. I think the…

That sounds good! I've only been using it in smoothies up to this point. Do you just sub it in for the same amount of peanut butter in the recipe?

Hi April! I also like to run but don't have as much time to devote to it as I like. I am trying to lose ten pounds- it's coming of very slowly! Nice to meet you :)

Congratulations! You look great and should be so proud. I hope you achieve all of you goals. Thanks ( in advance ) for serving our country; )

Oops! Meant that I'm working up to a 10K!

Hi. I'm a new runner. I love to run and wish I could fit it into my schedule more. I've done a bunch of 5K's and my first trail race a few weeks ago , which I loved. I will definitely be looking for more trail races in my area and hope to work up to a 5K soon. Very impressive that you are training for a half marathon :)

Good for you- quiting smoking must have been really hard. I bet you will do great here-MFP is such a good tool for weight loss. Logging everything I eat helps me to be accountable and reading the success stories are really inspiring too. Sometimes I read through them if I am tempted to binge or am trying to talk myself out…

Get all you gear out the night before and just force yourself to do it. It really will become a habit. I wake up every weekday morning at 5:30. It was so hard on the beginning but it feels really good to get my workout out of the way.

I am doing Insanity Max 30 now. I am finishing my last week and will do another round when I get back from my vacation. Love it!

I used to be fit too! I took ballet classes twice a week, went to the gym and ate really well. And I loved it. I really enjoy being active and healthy but after my second son was born I didn't have time (or didn't make time) and started sliding. So I'm determined to get back to where I was. I got into the habit of waking…

That looks delicious. I've got to make a trip to Trader Joe's! :)

Everyone's gardens sound great. I'm starting out with a small one this year. Tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, cucumber and watermelon. If all goes well I would like to expand it next year. I would love to grow some berries.

Love this post! :) You've acually motivated me to go try on my old skinny jeans now- wish me luck!

I am not a morning person by any means but have been forcing myself to get up early- before the rest of the family -to squeeze in a workout video. I work full time and with the kids' after school activities there is just no other time (after I get them to bed I'm ready to pass out!). It's really hard to get up at 5:30 but…

I juice infrequently so didn't want to spend too much on a juicer. After reading reviews I purchased the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juicer. It was inexpensive, does the job and is not too awful to clean. If you plan on really getting into juicing you might want to invest in one of the more expensive models though.

I found this to be true when I tried a raw vegan diet for a while. I actually gained weight because I was not tracking calories and was consuming a lot of nuts, nut butter, dates and avocados.

You look great!

Hi vaani96. I am a vegetarian trying to be vegan and a big fan of Indian food. I have tried many recipes from a cookbook by Anupy Singla called Vegan Indian Cooking and they have all been pretty good. She also has a website. I am not sure if she makes the style of Indian food that your family is used to but you might get…

Thanks for the recipe! I love Indian food and this looks delicious. :)

Hi. I'm a vegetarian for many years - aiming to be vegan. Friend me :)

Hi everyone. I'm vegetarian but working towards becoming vegan. Anyone can feel free to add me!

I am also a fan of smoothies and usually have one a day. I do have a Juicer but since I make juice infrequently I bought an inexpensive one, the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth, for about $40.00 at Target. It works fine and I am happy with it but am not sure if it would hold up as well as the more expensive models if used daily.…

I didn't make it to the free burrito day but have had the Sofritas before. It's delicious, especially if you like spicy food. I always like to support the vegetarian and vegan options.

Luna Bars Carrot Cake is very good too. :)
