The veggies and milk products (yog) have a lot of potassium. And potassium helps to get rid of sodium and hence water retention to some extent. So, my guess would go in that direction that clean eating has helped you to loose water weight and obviously you might have lost some fat as well because of the calorie deficit.…

Thanks for the insight.... I really liked the article.

mikeyrp. As per Newtons laws : Word Done (or calories burnt) = Mass * Acceleration * Distance (where mass relates to weight, acceleration is resistance whilst running and hence its directly proportion to distance) However, I understand your point of efficiency as well and that bit is somehow built into the acceleration…

I normally mix it with milk and coffee to make a protein rich cold coffee.. its heaven... :). I used chocolate flavour protein powder and since it already has some sort of sweetener, I dont need to add suger into cold coffee.. Have fun!

Huge difference. Before MFP, I used to eat huge portions, sometimes healthy and sometimes not. The shock was "highlighted" when I started using scales to measure food ingredients. Portion size have considerably reduced now TBH. Probably, I am going to stick here for life or till I incorporate intuitive eating. I told few…

Brain also needs a constant supply of sugar/carbs for it to function properly. Jus saying... Personally as well, I have noticed whenever I dont take carbs in the meals (explicitly), I get headaches. :(

You are inspirational. 5000 kcals/week :noway: . You are doing awesome workouts. TBH, I wanted to start with 50kcal/kg but wanted to target a wider audience. :)

indecisive :D.... thats such a trait that people normally get pissed off with... but we librans... tend to look at both sides of the coin and weigh all the options carefully that its hard to be biased and take a decision.

I echo that. Suppose, you see a ghost (or are in a state of shock), the heart will beat too fast but you are not burning too many (extra) calories.

Pretty much Same'ish for me. Although, its not 100% accurate but more or less similar for me. (P.S. I think the same formula is used by my treadmill as well)

Egg White is only protein and water. So I meant egg whites only to up the protein content with the minimal calories intake (from a natural source). Although, I am with you that yolk has all the other goodies. But I limit it to 1 whole egg and rest egg whites.

I eat roughly around 1500-1600 cals a day and aim to do 100+g of protein (atleast on weekdays). Being a vegetarian, its a struggle but I tend to do it through mainly foods and one odd protein shake. There are some excellent souces of protein apart from protein powder though, e.g. Egg whites, Lentils, milk (n dairy) etc....

That happens quite frequently with me i.e. if I take a break of few days from running, its becomes very hard to run again at the same level.. Yes, you go back (to your running standards) but Dont worry, you will be fine within a few days. all the best.

Ditto for me.... Whilst I can run 5k on a treadmill, Cant do more than 3k on road. I think the reasons could be: 1. Cushioning of the treadmill... (it reduces the impact) 2. Inclines/declines of the road, uneven surface. 3. Wind (LOL) 4. Or may be because treadmill is pushing me a bit. So, I have started running on a…

Thank you peeps for the great advice.... Watch the space, I need to at least be able to complete one length in 2 months time.... I have tried learning to swim earlier as well but somehow I gave up at the point when I had to learn the technique to breath.. I think that's the hardest bit.
-
Thank you... Appreciate your response... :) And good luck to you too.

Thanks VoV. Yes, I can do some floating at the moment :D. My initial goal is just to be able to swim so that I can swim in the pool and burn off some cals. Probably, and I am just guessing, beyond that point, I can learn different strokes or practice more on my own... Well, thanks for the ball park figure :)

Bump!!! Anyone pls help...

Either ignore them... Or do what I think: 1. If they are more fitter than me: I say within "dont worry, one day I will surpass them". 2. Otherwise, show the m... finger (atleast in your mind) LOL.
