I agree with this. I don't stand around/pace in between sets for nothing, they do it to rest their muscles and to prepare them for the next set. Depending on how heavy that can be 90-180 seconds. I agree with the ones saying lift heavy. I do not think you need to see a doctor for something that is natural when you lose weight. Find a compound lifting program like Starting Strength, Stronglifts, etc.
