You have to put yourself first, and surrounding yourself with negativity will only end up hurting you in the long run. Are you sure people around you don't understand, or are you projecting your own fear onto them? Sometimes when we feel lonely or discouraged, we have negative thoughts like "no one understands" and "no one…

I agree - protein definitely needs to be higher. It's certainly best to get your protein from food, but if you can't find a way to get it into your diet, try adding some Whey protein (as suggested by many others). It doesn't have all the nutrients that protein in food will have, but it will be much better than simply going…

I'm definitely in for this challenge. I think it will give me the accountability I need! If room opens up, please let me know! I need to lose at least 50 pounds for my graduate school graduation!

This is so amazing and inspiring! Congratulations! Keep up the phenomenal work!

Hello all! Sorry for the delay in posting - things got crazy around here! So, my name is Andrea :) I'm 25 years old, and currently working on getting my masters degree in social work - should be graduating in May! I don't have any children, but I do live at home with my parents (my Dad is disabled and my mother is often…

Clearly everyone agrees to turn up the headphones and continue running. But on a side note (and I didn't read ALL the posts, so I'm not sure if this was brought up already), perhaps you should keep some sort of documentation if the harassment persists. Depending on the issue, I would also not hesitate to bring it to the…

Find a piece of clothing - a shirt, a pair of pants, a dress - that is a small "goal." Keep it in plain sight so it will remind you of your goal! Be mindful to pick something that isn't too far away, otherwise you'll get overwhelmed and perhaps fall off the wagon. Also, try new playlists with songs that you ONLY listen to…

You are all such a wonderful inspiration! Congratulations on your transformations! :)

I've been hearing about people doing these challenges all the time, but I've always given up or never put in enough effort. This time, I'm going to DO THIS!

I've used a lot of the apps (mapmywalk/run/ride/fitness, nike run, runkeeper, etc.), and I have to admit, Endomondo is currently my favorite. If you want something for running alone, the zombie one is pretty fun. I use it when I run outside.

You can do this! You've taken the first step and admitted you need help. You've also taken the second step and ASKED for it, which puts you in a great position to actually do this right! Take baby steps; remember - this is a lifestyle change, not just a diet. I too, have 100+ pounds to lose. The biggest thing you're going…

Thanks! I added you! :)

Feel free to add me :) Challenges are a great way to keep yourself going. Have you tried taking your measurements? Just because the scale isn't changing, doesn't mean your measurements aren't! :)

Feel free to add me! The more support, the better!

You can do this! They say taking drastic steps only lasts for a little while,so the small steps you are making will definitely add up! Keep up the great work! Feel free to add me, also! :)
