  • Did that actually say one thousand? that's about a hundred times more than I could do LOL... how did you get on with it?
  • ^ I honestly don't know! Suppose it depends on the person I did it for and how they perceive it? I've a chronic inability to say 'NO' and am constantly doing things for others before I do anything for myself. That ranges from fundraisers to minding children to helping out around the house/diy/cooking for people... I'm…
  • ^I'm wondering if I should eat anything at all right now as I've still got 500 cals left but it's 10pm! < not looking forward to having to get up early tomorrow morning to get the kids back to school/playschool after this long weekend! v What's your favourite holiday of the year?
  • Hiya!! I also have a 5 month old (he was born 8th October) and am full-time breastfeeding. I've also gone for the 1lb a week loss and add breastfeeding to my log as food, it gives you 500 more cals/day. I have trouble eating that much, especially on days I exercise too! And so far, I've lost between 2 and 4 lbs/week with…
  • Hi!! Nice to meet you ;) And congratulations on your baby! You're doing great!!! I've had my 4th baby in October (my homebirth baby!!). Really looking forward to getting my body back to myself now. I've declared war on the tummy pouch!
  • You know what? For some reason this didn't get out of my head since I read this last night. And I have to agree with one of the posters before me now: Ask yourself if it's worth it staying with your boyfriend because if this is already such a struggle, goodness only knows what else will come down the line. Also, if you do…
  • tell him you'll try it out for 2 weeks and then you guys sit down and re-visit it. I do plan our meals weekly. It DOES save money on the shopping list. I don't plan all our meals, but I plan the kids' school lunches and our dinners. Meals that are made with the same ingredients do not necessarily taste the same. At all. So…
  • Do the 1200 calories have to be net or are they the actual eaten calories? I rarely eat less than 1200 but net they might show up as that as I've 500 extra for breastfeeding plus exercise it's hard to get to them net sometimes.
  • here in Europe most countries pay you a monthly amount of 'child benefit' - it's supposed to help you care for your child. The amount varies depending on how many children you have. There are still people out there who think that families have more kids to get more of this 'child benefit'. I have 4 children, we get child…
  • a coat hanger and a pair of uncle Vernon's old socks. How do I remember? I just read that chapter to my kids for bedtime a couple nights ago lol
  • Everybody has different motivations. Some people never want kids. Others feel their life isn't complete before they've a certain number. Either way, her motives to have another child shouldn't concern us. And you may never understand them even if she did explain why.
  • You're 24. You WANT another baby. What would you regret more: never having that baby or having a minor setback in weight loss? If you were to try for your baby now and be lucky to fall pregnant straight away, you'd have your baby in January maybe. Yes, you WILL gain weight during pregnancy, you know that, you've been…
  • Snape in his Gran's clothes! :D Here's another trivia question: What did Harry get for his 10th birthday from the Dursleys..?
  • Really? How'd you see it from there? His face was blacked out cos he betrayed the family by going against them. Wasn't Andromeda blacked out too because she married a muggleborn? And she's stayed alive through the books. My favourite? I'm not sure - HBP was great because it really showed the depth that was in Snape's…
  • Brilliant, sounds like a fab day all around!! I got white roses and lillies and a bottle of prosecco along with three cards :D Himself took 3 of the kids to see their Nana for the afternoon and we'll all be going to the Paddy's Day Festival fireworks tonight. Glorious sunshine here too! (I'm just south of Dublin) Hope you…
  • Oh and I'll never forgive her for killing Sirius either. Still... so demented, it must be fab to her her just for a few minutes while taking care of the odd annoying person hahahaha
  • They look it too!!!! Just trying to assess damage before indulging lol
  • Bellatrix <3 she's so twisted she's fab in a weird way :)
  • haha!! Happy Paddy's Day to you too! As if we needed another excuse to get banjaxed!
  • Ah no!! Whatever happened to the 'Sunny South East'?? Still dry so far here in Bray... dark clouds with bright sunshine. Not liking the forecast of heavy rains this afternoon. Our parade only starts at 3!!! Hope it dries up!
  • This. Also, if you're worried about the sugar, you can eat your fruit mixed in with cereal or yogurt, that way the sugar will be released slower - that's what I was told by my midwives when I had an insane fruit craving on my 2nd pregnancy. I literally ate my weight in fruit!!! Fruit sugar is definitely preferable to…
  • Yes, it's 100% not g or mg. Only thing I found is that a lot of iron-rich foods here don't necessarily reflect that in the database. Outside meat, here are high iron foods: dark chocolate (as if we needed reasons to eat it haha) dark leafy greens raisins/dried apricots herbs (thyme especially!!) potatoes (which is great…
  • I'm gonna call myself Irish for the topic! Came here (here being Ireland!) 12 years ago and just couldn't fathom to move back home to Germany ;D It'll be a great weekend again, if only the rain would bloody stay away!!!!!! SO typical to start just in time. And happy calorie burning, doing a bit of the old 'yoga' ;P
  • I add 'breastfeeding' to dinner, it comes up as 'breastfeeding -500 cals' so gives you 500 extra :) Works well for me. Make sure you drink plenty of water and eat back most if not all exercise cals. Your body needs the extra! You don't want your milk supply to reduce. Happy feeding and losing!! edit to add: don't try…
  • Well I hope someone can take over, cos it could be a really fun place to be here :) And fwiw: I'm down 2 more lbs from 171 to 169
  • SW: 174 lbs week 1: 171 [-3lbs] week 2: 169!!!!! [-2lbs] Total loss so far: [-5lbs] GW: 164 lbs
  • ^ horseriding :) don't really have fav teams/players < organising things for my 8 yo daughter's show and tell at school: she wants to bring our pet snake. lol v what would you bring to a 'show and tell' session?
  • I was never a runner only started about 3 weeks ago! I can only agree with the c25k programme! Also, I've joined the local fit4life group, they do running track sessions several times a week and that's for every level runner! I went from not being able to run 2 minutes to running 21 minutes on Monday night - in 3 weeks and…
  • Errr.... and did I miss anything or is it always this quiet in here? Did I maybe misunderstand or should there be a new challenge already or is the last one still on? I'm confused!!!
