Thank you!!! Sickening really, same HRM (the link you provided to amazon.com) over here on Amazon.co.uk is the equivalent of 101US$ at offer price (66£ instead of 100+£!). Waaahhhhhh Why must it be so much more expensive here????? :frown:

What's the Fartlek Drills + like? Is it easy to use when not running on a track? Would be interesting to increase speed! Oh, and is it on Android?
-
Will def have a look at the FT4 so!! Don't think I need to have one that syncs with equipment as I don't use a gym at all - and I use endomondo to track where/how fast/how long I am running, and that syncs with mfp also. I just haven't got anything to measure my HR and I'm doing Insanity at home at the moment, plus two…

I use Endomondo to track my runs etc (it syncs with MFP too!) I also use DailyYoga (free app - I find this good as each routine is including video instruction) And I use 10k free - which is the follow on to one of the c25k apps :) (all on Android)

I'm a bit late to the party, but have to say, when I do make bean burgers myself I don't put them in a pan - I do them in the oven or under the grill on baking paper, which I spray with oil, then spray the burgers with oil when they're on there. Much less calorific and does the same trick. Also, cold water on hands makes…

Aw man, you made me tear up! lol... awesome job!! I'm in awe of you, not only for doing it and then some, but also for doing it on the treadmill!!!!!!!! That, to me, is amazing on a completely different level (I get bored and wonder if I should stop after 3 minutes on the treadmill lol) BRAVO!!!!:drinker:

Thanks guys! I've a 10k race this Sunday. There are plenty of half marathons around so will try one of those before. I'm not trying to get this marathon in record time and would walk if I needed in between but it's just something my head keeps getting back to! Especially because this one allows 7 hrs to finish I think it's…

Thanks - as I said I swore that 10k would be my limit, so most of my runs are between 5 and 10k 3/week plus circuit training 1-2/week. Nothing as much as I need to - BUT - the marathon I'm thinking of entering is on the last Monday of October so plenty of time still. Started running last year, stopped for second half of…

Thank you!! :flowerforyou: Will check out that link and search for the running groups!

Amazing improvement!!! :flowerforyou:

Nowhere near some of you - but my PR was running my last 3k race in 16min 23 sec - so got near to my 8.30min mile!!!! I normally run a 10 min mile :D

^^^ yep. Beans. Lentils. Tofu. Seitan. Tempeh. EDIT: also Quinoa (only grain that has a complete protein! Delish too) Then, of course there's Cheese and eggs, if you do eat them (but there's the added fat to those)
-
That's awesome!!!! Well done you!!! That's really cool :) Took me a long time to get to 1 minute!!!
-
Ha! Thank you, most helpful. Went okay - did it in 67 mins 46 sec - tried to pace myself because I wasn't sure I'd finish otherwise and hindsight is always 20/20 I could've done it faster. Next time! :D
-
Brilliant!!! Thank you all for such wonderful recipes!!!!!!!!!!! Spoiled for choice now!

Family of 6 plus pets here. I spend around 80-100 Euro (100-130$) per week on grocery shopping. (2 adults, 4 kids, 2 cats & 1 snake)

Hang on in there, it'll get better. If you LO is screaming like that in the middle of the night though, don't think tantrum straight away - he might have been genuinely scared. I've 4 who've had their fair share of tantrums and a lot of the time, instead of freaking out about it, a big hug calms them down and then it's…

Congrats on your little ones!!! My October 'baby' is nearly 18 months now... he's the youngest of my 4! Feel free to add me as a friend if you fancy some mummy company

I'm gonna go boil an egg now  this thread makes me crave one!

La Dolce Vegan is one of my favs (there are also How it all Vegan and Garden of Vegan - all three are fab) 'Vegetarian Cookbook' by Paul Gayler. And then I use a lot of online inspiration - BBC food website's fab. If you speak/read German, 'chefkoch.de' is a good one, they've an English site also, which isn't quite as big…

bring water to boil. Prick egg with egg pricky thingy on the big end, so air can escape (less egg cracking in pot!) once water boils, put egg in. boil for 14 minutes. take egg out of water and put it under cold water - this will make the peeling much easier. :)

I find it quite torturous not to have something to listen to while running anything more than 5k. I get bored and wonder why I'm doing it. Will check out the Songza app

Okay, so now I've got til 28 April for my next 10k race - please let me know any good running tunes :) I opted for an audio book yesterday, was the handiest! And it worked a treat to distract me from the running and got me across the finish line in a good (for me) time of 67 mins 46 sec. Seriously though, am I alone in…

From experience - that lightheaded thing happens to me too. However, with me, that's a sign of dehydration and not enough food. So now I make sure I've had good food 1-2 hours before exercising and drink enough and it's improved it a LOT. Before any exercise - see a doc maybe? Might be worth checking you out if you haven't…

anyone?????

Agree with the above posters. Run 3, maybe 4 times a week for half an hour, maybe work up to 40 minutes (you'll have run further than 5k by then!) and if you want to work on improving your time, run in intervals. Run 10 minutes at your normal pace, then speed up for a few minutes, slow back down, speed back up til the half…

Thanks for all the advice guys!!
