I had a job before I moved. Back then though, that wasn't a necessity as it was an employees market so to speak :) Probably a touch different these days!! Oh, and my job came with built-in accommodation, another plus!

Haha... be careful though with the thoughts of 'temporarily' going somewhere. I left Germany to go live in Ireland for 6 months to improve my English. That's 12 years, a husband, a house and 4 kids later... and I'm still in Ireland

That's the problem though when the parents fall for the same thing. And many do and aren't educated or willing to listen to be educated about it. Actually, I think this should be pushed a lot more in schools (my daughter's school does in primary) especially in secondary levels where it really can become a problem and to…

Most definitely. I don't think there's a 'could' about it. I believe it does and not just with teens. I'm sure there are enough adults who are misled by the constant photoshopping that's going on. I can see how teens get eating disorders from it, along with depression/mental problems when the ED isn't doing what they're…

Tofu is high in protein, low in calories, if that's something you want to try out? also, beans and lentils are, nuts generally are high in protein - try pistachio nuts, you can eat a lot more for your cals of them than other nuts ;D Eggs (especially the yoke) also a good scource incl B12 scource. :)

Woohoo!! Well done you!!!!

I'm addicted to coffee. Coffee needs to be strong, aromatic and I add milk to mine. No sugar though, that's just wrong lol Sometimes I do have a sweet coffee, but again, not just sugar, it must be hazelnut syrup. Another thing is - if you do use sugar, use the raw brown sugar. Put the sugar in the cup before the coffee and…

Never heard of it, no idea but coffee was the magic word that got me here :) Interested in seeing replies!!! edited to add: It sounds tasty - though I'm sure it's just another fad that might kick-start weight loss rather than make you lose weight without doing what needs to be done: watch your diet and exercise.

Fantastic work!!! Really inspiring and looks like you're both fab role-models for Le Offspring as well!!!!! Keep up the great work, both of you!
-
Well done!! Especially because you did this for YOU and not for anybody else!!

telling friends I needed to lose weight and one recommended this site. Was rather unsure at first but then ended up liking it :) And it works for me!!!

Thank you for the replies and tips! I'm excited for the race and terrified at the same time!!! I'm registered for a 10k on 4 June (www.florawomensminimarathon.ie if you wanna have a look, it's a charity run where nobody will mind if I have to go back to walking - well, apart from myself, I might mind!!) and a friend's…

It'll work. Simply writing down what you eat on your log here will make that difference :) Best of luck!!!! PS: don't stress yourself... you had a baby in you for 9 months... as they say: 9 months on- 9 months off :)

4th baby and all bf. I never lost while bf before this one. Only thing different this time: I'm on mfp and watch what I eat. BF makes hungry so I - mostly- stay away from junk food and have healthier options instead. And I work out more (mostly walking a lot with the kids) bf alone means you burn 500 cals a day more, so…

Haha, just found blogilates today through an mfp friend who had a link on her profile! And did one of her beginner pilates sessions this evening. Love it! She's fantastic! Definitely will keep going with her.

Congrats on your baby :) He looks very young still :) I still nurse (as do many others on here!) and if you're full-time nursing, just add 'breastfeeding' to your food diary. Full time, choose one of the -500 cal options, as you need 500 calories extra per day! Drink TONS of water and ALWAYS have healthy snacks handy. BF…

Hm... do you have a husband/partner/SO?? Make him take over!!!!! I'm 34, have an 8yo girl, 3yo boy, 2yo girl and 6 month old boy - and I do running, Zumba, Pilates and at home Wii Fit and general running after the kids... To be fair, I do my Zumba and Pilates after 8.30 in the evening, but that's just the way it fits and I…

Being an only child sucks. I am one. Now, don't get me wrong, it was fun at times - undivided attention and whatnot, but what has to be considered and many don't seem to consider, is the other end of the spectrum as well as having siblings to run amok with. (and seriously, as much as my friends gave out about their…

Absolutely amazing! And a fantastic time. Very inspirational, for a noob like me anyway!! Fab!

The only eating in our bed (I cannot stand crumbs in my bed!!!) is done by the baby, and he eats milk off me, especially at night, which is why I often look like
