  • Best taste? Best overall nutrition? Most versatile? Best price?
  • if your jar of kraut is the unpasturized, refrigerated kind...than please don't cook it! or you will lose all the healthy probiotics it was made for!
  • a favorite of mine...i make a spread with mashed banana or sweet potato, plain pea protein powder, either ground flax or almond butter (only if I need the fat) and water to desired consistency. great on sprouted toast or bagel.
  • I use it to dress my kale salad! Or on a rice cake or crackers, on a hummus sandwich, or on a piece of toast with avocado and tomato...the possibilities are endless. I love kraut!
  • Today im having homemade buckwheat granola with fresh strawberries, blueberries and an apricot. Poured 1/2 a serving of vega all-in-one nutritional shake over it. Yum.
  • Check out the vegan groups for tons of non-dairy alternatives. For pizza, find Daiya mozzarella cheese! Amy's frozen pizza has some that use it. For cereal, rice, soy, almond, coconut, oat, hemp...keep trying until you find one you like. For icecream, so delicious, purely decadent, coconut bliss...there's so many good ones.
  • I'm on my last few weeks of P90x2
  • The one with the hair/hare :o)
  • No wonder their A cup is too big on me! They actually told me to go to their pre-teen store for a bra. I'm freaking 40 years old...think I'll pass on the bright purple leopard print bra! Anyway, I'm obviously small, but I always wear a sports bra to work out. What I lack in size I make up for with staying perky.
  • Today is a great day to go vegan! Awesome, gastanker! I'm a vegan, currently doing p90x2, very focused on meeting my nutritional needs (especially protein) and my diary is open to friends. so feel free to add me.
  • Yes, meal planning is key! I highly recommend trying to replace the coke with water with lemon and stevia (the only kind I like is 365 stevia extract packets) You can do it :o)
  • I hate to be potato-party-pooper but some people might need to avoid potatoes because, as a nightshade vegetable they do contain high levels of alkaloids, which can worsen inflammation. If you have arthritis, for example, potatoes are not healthy addition to your diet.
  • None of my jeans have that gap in the back because I take them to a tailor!!!!
  • It's worth the money, but you've got to be committed to the videos AND a healthy eating plan. I don't think one will work very well without the other.
  • Another great raw vegan source of protein (enzymes, vitamins, etc) is SPROUTS (think beyond alfalfa....lentil, sunflower seeds, broccoli, etc) ! There may not be official numbers of more protein grams, but the nutritional value is believed to be enhanced during the sprouting process. superfood!
  • thanks earlyxer! great tips... i love the mind trick idea. i'm on it. :o)
  • melt dark chocolate chips, stir in some tahini or almond butter, nuts and/or dried shredded coconut and raisins (a pinch of salt, cinnamon, vanilla is nice) and shape into cookies. cool in the fridge. or just go with berries again, seriously...if your last dessert really wasn't a hit, she would have asked you to bring the…
  • just finished 6 weeks of phase 2 and feel i earned a nice week of recovery. the most exciting part of my progress is seeing the POSSIBILITY of doing an unassisted chin-up by the time i get through phase 3! boy do i wish i could go back to 2nd grade gym class and climb that stupid peg board or rope that i remember watching…
  • I went vegetarian over 16 years ago and slowly transitioned to vegan about 7 or 8-ish years ago. I take a B12 supplement, Vit D during the rainy season, and I eat my veggies! and vega, hemp, and pea protein powders, and vegan pizza and a million other delicious things! :o) My success story is that I am 40 years old and…
  • I don't log every single bite I take, but I also don't log every single physical activity I do as "exercise". I consider myself an active person, and i don't really have weight to lose. I am here trying to create a healthier relationship with food and my body, and I'm making progress...after a lifetime of disordered eating…
  • I've made a protein powder icecream with vega vanilla chai powder and soaked cashews. My favorite thing to do is add a plain, unsweetened pea protein powder to hummus and soups. And If I'm going to have toast or a bagel, I love pea protein with mashed banana or sweet potato, adding water to a nice, spreadable consistency.…
  • These are also gluten free! from Brendan Brazier's Thrive... 1 cup buckwheat flour 1/4 cup ground flaxseed 1/4 cup hemp protein powder 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1 banana 2 cups water (or to desired consistency) 1/2 cup barley flakes (I sub with quinoa flakes) 1/4 tsp salt (optional) I just put all…
  • I started adding shredded carrots, beets, and even peas to my morning oatmeal! And I've always been a big fan of adding fresh parsley or mint to a fruit salad. Not just one little sprig...A LOT! Yum.
  • 5'1"ish sw:105ish cw:102 gw:? less fat, more muscle feel free to add me :)
  • Kind of embarrassing but...I taped a picture of my face on a picture of someone else who has my goal body! I have it hanging up on the mirror where I exercise at home and also a copy in the kitchen. When I see it, I often ask myself, what would this woman eat? Or what dumbbell would she lift?!!!
  • OP...your poor bf was trapped! If you are feeling insecure, there really wasn't any "right" answer he could say. What if he HAD agreed with you about how pretty she is and that he likes skinnier women?! He couldn't win!
  • I've never considered myself an easily-bruised kind of person. I think what was happening was because I just have a very high tolerance for pain! And I was sitting on those hot spots with as much of my body weight as I could. I've backed off a bit...and not only am I not bruising (much) anymore, I am finding the foam…
  • My heart goes out to you. Losing a fur baby is devastating, and if anyone tells you you're nuts, THAT person is nuts. I'm no longer friends with someone because of this very issue. She was full of judgment and even had the nerve to tell me my "grief dragged on too long". I had so much trouble sleeping (even months later)…
