  • Ahhhh started week 2 yesterday. This morning at some point I tweaked my back. Couldn't get through the last round of abs. I hope it passes quickly. This sucks!
  • Great story as always. I hope your sister makes a swift recovery!
  • Amazing! That is what I call Inspirational :) Thank you for sharing.
  • Wow. It's like you're in my head today. I'm 5'6" and 38 years old. I've had two kids 10 years apart. I have lost a total of 74lbs from my highest weight. My body fat percentage is 1% away from the fitness range. I am down to 150 and bought my first pair of size 6 pants the other day but all I focus on the past few days is…
  • I started Ripped in 30 on Monday Dec 3. Hoping to go 5 days a week with added walking. I "finished" 30 Day shred at the end of Nov. Feel free to add me anyone!
  • I "finished" 30 Day Shred at the end of November (only did it a few times a week for over 2-3 months) and started Ripped in 30 on Monday. Hoping to go strong all month and finish at the end of Dec. Friend request sent.
  • Same goal here. Started as a confirmed coach potato but hope to to end 2012 with two 5Ks complete (done), complete 30 Day Shred (done) and Ripped in 30 (only started day 1 so far) I am stunned at the progress I have made so far, but feel I still have a long way to go to be FIT. If I could do a few pull-ups by 40, I will be…
  • They should study it though. Here is a similar story; http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/09/25/bittman-is-alzheimers-type-3-diabetes/
  • I listened to a podcast for Couch to 5K. The lady voice had 2 useful recommendations for how to deal with stitches; 1. slow down a little 2. when you breath out, push your stomach out, repeat until the stitch goes away.
  • Thanks for the link to the 3fatchicks site. Looks much more active for the maintenance phase. And the book review was right on with what I was thinking from the first few chapters that I have read.
  • There is a form you can fill out to get this corrected. Check this post http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/279014-days-in-a-row-incorrect
  • I found the same thing happened to me. I contribute it to honestly looking at my body more. I never truly saw how big I had gotten. There weren't a specific area as much as a fat suit over my entire body. As that fat melted away certain areas lost more than others. I could finally really see how much weight I had padded my…
  • Sounds like you are in a deep depression. Your emotional self is in critical condition and needs immediate attention. What would you do for someone you knew who was suffering so much. Treat yourself like you would that person. YOU ARE WORTH IT!! YOU ARE WORTH IT!! YOU ARE WORTH IT!! YOU ARE WORTH IT!! YOU ARE WORTH IT!!…
  • Thanks MGMum. I'll look into that. Ran today and felt great. Icing my knees now.
  • I really fell in love with running but alas my knees did not. I actually cried with disappointment of not being able to go out there every other day. I am going to try to run at least twice a week for about 30 minutes. If my knees cooperate maybe 3x. If they continue to protest, I'm afraid I'll have to find something new.
  • Congrats! I also recently completed a 5K and was super excited and proud. You should be too. Don't let the lack of responses take away the joy of your accomplishment. Great Job!
  • The Ocean Run was great. It was a beautiful clear bright morning and the route is gorgeous along the ocean. I finished with a time of 35:01. I self-registered for a division called Athena which is for women over 150 pounds, and I won 2nd place! The photo is me holding my trophy :) I had a great cheering section and had…
  • Finished week 8 today and fairly certain (technology issues) that I ran 3 miles but had to go into the 5 minute walking period to do it. I feel ready for my 5k Sunday. I am so pumped that this program actually worked. I was a NON-runner. A person who believed that some people aren't meant to run. I wish my daughter had…
  • Following this for the past 4 months has definitely improved my eating. I wish that the website foodtracker had the handy dandy macro pie chart that the iPhone app has. I think more people might "get" it.
  • I have an Ocean Run on Sunday. Haven't actually registered but I know I will the morning of since I already told everyone about it... Complete W8D1 today having run 2.5 miles.
  • I have completed up to w7d2. Because I got behind due to vacation and because I want to run a 5k on Sept 23 I have been running every other day for 3 weeks now. But my knees are really starting to complain about it. I think I need two days rest in a row for them to feel better but then I'm afraid of not being prepared…
  • I try to focus on my healthy not appearance (as much). I want to be healthy for them. I want to be around for them and their kids. I have seen pictures of people who have gotten rid of their Mommy tummies. Try not to blame your children for the choices you made while pregnant.
  • Finished Week 6 yesterday. Felt good. Still not sure what my pace is but to be honest I don't care that much. I just keep saying in my mind, "doesn't matter how fast only matter that I finish the run without stopping." I might have to go out and buy some actually running shoes today. I wear the same sneakers I run in…
  • I had this too and it was very painful. I switched to wear sneakers all the time and that helped some but nothing worked until I got Dr. Scholl insoles. They cost about $50 but the best investment ever! I have no more pain but still wear sneaker 80% of the time.
  • Completed W6 D1 today. Felt good and went a little faster than last session. Knowing that there is a walk break helps me push through. Hooray! I can't believe I've gotten this far :) ps shhhh but i think i like it too!
  • Completed week 5 day 3 yesterday. I was so proud of myself I almost cried. I have never before in my life jogged for that amount of time. Maybe not even half that amount :) I didn't push myself very hard because I really just wanted to finish. I am looking forward to the next few weeks and have my eye on a 5K Sept 23rd…
  • Completed week 5 day 1 today. felt good up until the final minute of the last run when I was very winded. I think I was pushing too hard at the end. I am kinda excited to see how I do on Day 3.
  • You're in my thoughts! <3
