Ok, thanks for the info. I'm still trying to figure out all the keto particulars. I have migraines too- I had no clue keto helps with migraines!

I'm good with coconut oil, olive oil, and veggie based oils but I found I can't eat beef fat without digestive upset. Can a person successfully do keto and not eat animal fat? I'm still learning. So far the diet has been the best fit for me with keeping me full and feeling my best. I don't feel good when I eat carbs. I…

Do you feel achy or sick when you eat too many carbs? I've noticed that I do, even after almost 2 weeks on the diet. I had pizza the other night and felt really awful physically after. Can anyone else relate?

I am new to Keto and went into it pretty easy. I just started counting carbs today after a week of adjusting to eating fewer carbs. I'm at 35 carbs max per day this week and next I start my mac 20 carbs per day. I'm pretty notorious for quitting a diet by day 2 but I've done really well on Keto so far. I'm not craving…

I went from a size 20 to a 16 so far. I modeled all my clothes for my husband and if he said they didn't look good on me they went into a pile to sell. He likes clothes that show off my body, not hide it and he tells me all the time how good I look. So I chose to believe him and toss all my oversize stuff. ALL of it got…

I started at 245 and a size 20. I dropped to 201 and was into size 16 (loose but 14 was too tight like you). I'm 5'6" and pretty proportionate but I have a lot of belly fat. So I guess for me it took 20 lbs to drop a size too.

Since February this year I've let my weight creep up. My goal is to get to 200 lbs by 12/31/17. I'd like to see my numbers get to the 100's again in 2018. I've got about 13 lbs to go to reach my goal.

My husband and I work out together most days of the week. I do 15-30 minutes on my stationary bike and then work my legs, and and arms using a combination of my body weight and hand weights. Tonight I worked with weights for 30 minutes toning my abs, legs, butt, and arms then did 15 min on the bike.

No food pushers but lots of homemade goodies every day. It is hard to resist sometimes but I try to limit my snacking to just the best looking stuff

Thank you!

I just purchased an elliptical trainer/stationary bike in one, very basic machine but we love it. I am currently doing 30 minutes twice a day at about 16-18mph and it gives me a good workout. We'll see what the results are in a week or so

I just track calories and exercise for now. I am keeping track of protein too because I am lifting weights and gaining muscle

The first picture is in may 2015 at my nurse pinning ceremony. The second is me today down 32lbs!

How do you add pictures?

My goals for this year are to lose another 30lbs putting me into the overweight category for BMI instead of the obese category. I also have a goal to consistently exercise daily which I have already taken steps to achieve by buying a bike/elliptical machine so I no longer can use the excuse that the weather is bad. Good…

Hi! I am a new grad RN, just started my new career in the OR. I am thrilled to see this group form. My coworkers are eaters and feeders. We get lunch provided once a week by one of the docs and it is never healthy. Not to mention the numerous homemade goodies everyone brings in. I have managed to lose 32lbs so far but my…

My kids ages 12 and 9 love baked broccoli. I take a bag of frozen broccoli and a packet of ranch dressing mix and toss them together while the broccoli is frozen. Then spread on a greased baking sheet and put in oven on 425 degrees until browned and a little crisp looking. Very yummy!

Thanks for the great ideas everyone!

Thanks so much! I have IBS too and I have cut so much from my diet that it is getting boring. I will try the probiotic and see what happens. For now any dairy is out of the question. I love smoothies so I will give that a try with almond milk. quote="arlie63129;34917936"]You should try a daily probiotic - I have IBS and…

That sounds great! I can easily leave out the cottage cheese and put cubed potatoes in. Thanks!

I totally get the problem with portion control. Although I have changed what I eat and am making better choices as far as what I eat, I have trouble limiting certain foods to one portion. Like today I came home starving and ate a whole bag of black bean chips (5 servings in a bag) and half a container of hummus. It was…

My husband also said I look noticibly smaller!!!

I finally got into size 16 jeans without a struggle. I can't even remember the last time I wore a 16! Very recently size 20 was too tight. Also I had to put another hole in my belt to keep my pants up!

Congratulations! What a fantastic achievement!!!

Grocery Outlet is AWESOME!!! I always shop them first I can fill a cart for about 1/3 of the regular grocery store. Meat is always fresh and excellent quality too. We have a $3/lb. budget for meat and G.O. has plenty to choose from for under our budget.

I have the App for Android and all I use it for is tracking meals away from home so I'm not tempted to not track at all. So for what I am using it for it works great.

You look Awesome!

I need someone to help me along the way also. Good luck!
