  • I am on week 6 of c25k, but I did my first 5k yesterday . I started running on the track because I would always go to fast on the treadmill. I would guess I go about 5 mph if on a treadmill.   • Thank you! I was thinking I would at least run 20 min (since I know I can do it now) then just see how I feel. I've never ran outside, and it is suppose to be really cold so I guess I'll just wing it.
  • I use a cheap sports bra, then an under armour one over it. I'm a DD so I don't feel comfortable with just 1 bra. Good luck in the search.

  • I just finished week 1 yesterday. However I think I may have shin splints. I am icing my leg as I write this and going to get new shoes tomorrow. Hopefully I will be back at it by monday! I'm planning on signing up for my first 5k on Nov 3rd (as long as my leg doesn't give me anymore trouble.).
  • I also recommend Turbofire. It is so much fun and you can do the modifications to make it lower impact.

  • I LOVE Turbofire. I do not follow the schedule though. I discovered it at my gym last yr (at the gym it is called Turbokick) and was doing it about 4x's a week 60 min classes.   • I do Zumba as well, but my favorite is any type of Cardio Kickboxing. I love Turbofire because it is dancey with some kickboxing. If you're not wanting to spend that much money Jillian Michaels has a kickboxing dvd out. Good luck. It's always nice to find something you actually enjoy doing.
  • On the FT7 you enter your weight and I believe age (sorry It's been awhile since I've changed anything but weight), lol. It comes with a chest strap and calculates calorie burn and keeps track of your heart rate as well.
  • I have a polar FT7 and love it! I'm sure if your just looking for calorie burn the FT4 would work just as well.
  • I enjoy going to the gym, but days I can't make it I really love TURBOFIRE. It's super fun. Kind of pricey, but it has a variety of work outs you can do depending on time you have.

  • I misplaced my strap for the my FT7. After searching online I broke down and bought a whole new HRM. Good thing because the strap and transmitter is quite a bit different than my older model. Good luck.
  • I LOVE Turbofire! I don't follow the schedule, I pretty much do it on days I don't make it to the gym. I actually started doing Turbo Kick at my gym and when they quit offering it I ordered the DVDs b/c I'm so obsessed, lol. It's a great workout and really fun. Feel free to add me even though I don't follow the schedule.
  • Turbofire! I actually started taking it at my gym (turbo kick). When they no longer offered it, I missed it so much I bought the dvds for home. It's my favorite class/dvds I've ever done. Fun and goes by fast.

  • You might want to try Jillian Michaels "Kickbox Fast" . I bought it last yr but only have done it a few times because I finally broke down and bought Turbofire (which I love and discovered in a gym as well, But it is super dancey).
