  • i also add a slice of lemon to my water, or a tea bag into my water bottle (raspberry or green tea are awesome). I include any tea that i drink towards my water total for the day as well, so between drinking tea and water i usually meet my requirements for the day

  • THIS. so...why are you tracking sugar? are you diabetic? sugar=energy. You need energy.
  • any kind of berries! they are sweet and you can eat them like finger food to keep your hands busy (when doing homework, watching tv, etc) and berries are very low in calories and a source of fibre :D - strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries...
  • if you're looking for good workouts to do at home - try youtube! serioulsy, i find great routines and exercises all the time. I've been doing yoga routines since about december and i feel like its really done a lot for my core and my arms/shoulders. youtube 'tara stiles' and you'll get a bunch of great stuff to try, she…
  • a reward im looking forward to giving myself is buying new jeans and some summer clothes! I'm looking forward to it, bc i think that once i update my wardrobe a little, and get more flattering clothes, i'll be even more motivated to continue on the journey! A couple weeks ago I let myself get a new haircut that i've wanted…

  • great job! thats so awesome that you two are doing it together! and you both look YEARS YOUNGER!!!
  • yeah i forgot to mention that- i try to eat a lot of very fibre rich foods (i tried dried figs for the first time this week and i love them!) and protein throughout the day, especially at breakfast. check out my diary for ideas if you want (im pretty sure its public) and of course drinking LOTS of water and tea!
  • when i first started cutting calories i was hungry for about a week, maybe 2. At that time I was also trying not to eat past 8pm (which turns out it just doesnt work for me, im usually up past midnight). But after the first week or two my body adjusted and Im rarely hungry anymore. In the past week or two I've also started…
  • WOW! theres a really good difference in those pics! I almost think you measured wrong..it looks like you lost quite a few more inches than whats posted! Best of luck meeting your goal and Happy Anniversary!
  • i've noticed this too- when i run downhill i have to slow down and take shorter strides or else i feel like i might dislocate something haha. and striking on my toe/ball of my foot tends to help me
  • greatest feeling ever! Thats happened to me too :D I used to have such a hard time getting dressed because ALL my clothes were too tight and looked horrible. Now everything fits, and there's even a bunch of things that are a bit too baggy now! :D Getting dressed and getting ready in the morning is fun again :D
  • because i can already see how many carbs im eating. and sugar is irrelevant to me.
  • if you want to take a diuretic drink some tea or coffee- caffeine is a natural diuretic and you can more precisely control how much of it you want (pills tend to have larger doses of diuretic). Also diuretic medications almost always cause people to lose important electrolytes along with the water they are losing…
  • it definitely sounds like those people are jealous of your success and probably threatened by it. Keep up the great work!
  • ive been using MFP for about a month. Once in a while I would exercise a little extra, so that I could treat myself to something special (a bit of ice cream or big glass of chocolate milk). I did one full-out cheat day on Friday and ate whatever I wanted (a couple cookies, mozza sticks, panna cotta, huge salmon fillet,…
  • up until now I have always worked extra hard in the gym if i wanted to eat something extra. Yesterday I had a big cheat day (i ate almost 3000 calorie...around 1000 more than i should have) so i'll be watching my weight loss closely the next couple of days to see what happens next. I felt like the cheat day was worth it,…
  • Thats FANTASTIC! that certainly would have made my day!!!!
  • yeah i hardly lot any during my TOM (i was able to lose .5lb tho because i have a lot to lose) but then the week after I lost twice as much as i do on a normal week (almost 4 lbs) so it works itself out. Drink tons of water!
  • i have a lot of hot friends. when we go out dancing, or even just to class, they get asked out (im not kidding, some of my friends are smokin lol) and i want that to happen to me. But i also have a lot of fitness goals, like running a 5k. Suddenly i just decided that I want to look and feel the best possible.
  • I carry a water bottle with me at all times, and usually i flavour it with a tea bag (usually green tea which plenty of people say boosts metabolism but whatever). tea is great bc there are so many flavours you can choose from. i just put one tea bag in it in the morning and then keep refilling it with water throughout the…
  • you look so CONFIDENT! and that is whats sexy :)
  • i would suggest experimenting...one week try stretching before, the next week stretch after, then maybe not at all. From what I've read, and what works for me, i just make sure i have a good warm up before a workout (like a good 5 minute walk before i jog/run) and I stretch after my workouts. I dont stretch before because…
  • i love them! we have our own free range chickens/eggs. I used to eat the whole egg until about a month ago! I usually have 2 boiled egg whites with breakfast, the protein helps keep me full for hours! A a special treat sometimes I make egg-white french toast, and top it off with tomato slices and cottage cheese! Its…
  • Hey I was really overweight as a kid, im 21 now. I am still really grateful that my parents never said a single mean word about my weight, because if they did, it just would have made me feel worse. However it would have been helpful for me if they would have kept more healthy foods in the house, and fewer packaged snacks,…
  • hey! i just turned 21 and decided that when i do finally graduate from college, i want to look hot! (and be healthy blah blah blah). Just know that ur not the only one! I've been using MFP about a month, and I've lost 7lbs, and i'm feeling pretty amazing already, even though I still have a lot of weight left to lose. I…
  • yeah i count the calories from riding, but i alway WAY underestimate what i do. For example, I'll often spend about 2-2.5 or even 3 hours to clean stalls, groom, tack up, longe, ride, practice showmanship, untack, etc. Regardless of what I did riding (walk, jog, or actually training) I just log it all as 20 or 30 minutes…
  • i have one! i love it, definitely one of my favourite sports bras! mind you im barely a Bcup. The pads do fall out in the wash though. I feel like the pads add just a little bit of extra cushioning for when the girls are bouncing around? Maybe the pads dont actually do anything but they do make my boobs look a little…
  • what equipment do you need to do P90X? i thought you didnt need anything but the site says you need a pull up bar and resistance bands? does it come with those? and i dont know about the pull up bar...does that need to be drilled/installed in ur house? or are there alternatives that are as effective?
  • yeah I've noticed some people logged foods as MUCH lower in calories than what they actually are. somewhat annoying.
