Congrats on the weight you have lost. Are you eating any of your exercise calories back? When you work out every day, your body will hold onto extra water. Also if you don't eat those calories back, your body starts to think you are starving and stops losing too. I only ask this because it's what I did when I started here.…

Well you can go to Apps here and click on BMI. Put your info in to see what you get.

You can either keep logging to stay in the habit or increase your pact to more days. I do meal logging and workouts. I just couldn't get in the habit of taking pictures before I ate. I might try it again but I would eat first and then remember. But to answer your question... you can do either.... stop when you meet your…

I found that as long as I got to 1200 NET, I was good. That's my target usually. If I'm starving, I eat more. But the 1200 NET kept me losing weight. But once in a while, it's good to eat most of them back! LOL I think it helps you mentally from that constant "I have to diet" mantra running around in your brain. (Maybe…

I have learned to like a few new veggies because I tried a few different recipes with each one. Try oven roasting veggies.... it brings out a different flavor and texture. Do mixtures.... puree cauliflower with potatoes for a healthier version of mashed potatoes. Then slowly make it more cauliflower and less potatoes. I…

I use broccoli slaw when I make tacos. I add a little vinegar, celery seeds, salt, pepper, lemon juice... you can find some non-mayo slaw recipes on the web to figure out what you would like in it. We make fish tacos with broccoli slaw. I grill a white fish with some blacken spices and break it up for the tacos. Also good…

I have the One but The Zip is still a great tool and half the price. If you are just starting to add exercise, need extra motivation to move, a good estimation on calories burned for the day.... things like that...then get it. Here is a way to get that money back... if you have a smartphone, download the app called PACT.…

I lost 30 lbs in 9 months in 2012. Then gained 40 lbs in 16 months in 2013. So I'm back in 2014. I do agree that logging really does help but some days it's a pain. I like to cook so trying to put everything into a recipe drives me nuts. Plus my husband is trying to lose about 20 lbs so he is constantly asking... how many…

I try to stick to the calorie total and not go over. It has taught me to eat more low calorie foods like veggies! :) The other thing is exercise. If I want a dinner that I know is a little rich in calories, I will go do 30 mins on the treadmill or walk a mile or two in the neighborhood. I want to bank the extra calories so…

I find if I eat below a NET of 1200 calories a day for more than one day, my weight loss slows down. I do better if I make sure I get at least 1200 net for the day. That doesn't mean I have to eat them all back but I do eat some of them back.

I love my kitchen scale. I especially love it for making pasta. I was so shocked when I clued into to how many calories we were consuming when I cooked pasta! Now I double all the veggies and I half the pasta. Don't stop using it, it's a life saver!

I picked up lots of proteins and veggies.... I skipped the carbs (ie chips, crackers, etc.) I do plan to log it so I can tell what damage I have done. I plan to up the exercise next week and eat a lot cleaner for a few days. Just to balance it all out. My biggest decision is alcohol or no alcohol..... I actually don't mind…

I have the one and love it! My husband got the force and has had a few problems. it doesn't count all his steps on the treadmill unless it's in his pocket.... i have no idea why that is. He also complains about it being hard to put on. I keep my one in my pocket most of the time. when I don't have a pocket it's clipped…

Hubby is dieting too so he wants me to have at least a couple of healthy options...... i'm still thinking about what to fix so that's why I looked in on this thread. it's just the two of us but my husband has said Sunday is a free day and he's not counting calories! LOL shrimp w/cocktail sauce veggies and hummus or a white…

Do you have any issues with your Force not counting all the steps? My husband got one and it's not picking up all his steps during his workouts on the treadmill. He is tempted to put it in his pocket next time. We tried reading some of the message boards at Fitbit.com but it's mostly people saying they have a problem but…

I like those deli flats.... some are pretty high in protein and fiber too. Sargentos now makes an ultra thin cheese so that it's not too bad on the calories and fat but still flavor. I will cook the eggs/egg beaters in an large saute pan, with a combo of some veggies, sausage, ham, cheeses, etc. Then fold it into quarters…

Have you tried mucinex? Is there a lot of congestion? if so I would go to the pharmacy counter for some real sudafed to help dry it up. sounds like you have some sort of drainage. last time I had something similiar I stayed drugged up on sudafed, mucinex, and lots of Halls Sugar Free Cough drops with menthol. I drank a ton…

I am going to add Vitamin D too. Thanks for that suggestion. Luckily last year our winter was kind of mild. One thing that helped me was we got a dog. Going outside to walk her and get some fresh air and exercise was great for me. I also got on the treadmill about 5 days a week. The exercise really helped me. It could have…

Amazing! Yes, you are a big inspiration. :)

also if I am making soups.... I throw them in to add some nutrition to the soup. Depends on what it is but I have thrown them into pasta sauce, soups, chili, etc. too.

I mix chia seeds whole into my yogurt and eggs. It's good to let chia seeds absorb moisture.... I mix them into my greek yogurt before I go get on the treadmill. Then eat it after I get done as my treat. I mix them into my scrambled eggs before I cook them, go about a few other things I need to do in the mornings and then…

I do this..... I have an olive oil mister (found it at TJ Maxx) so I don't go overboard on EVOO. I cut off the stems, quarter them, lightly mist them with EVOO. Salt and Pepper to taste. 425 for 20-25 mins.... leaves need to start turning brown/black..... it's the crispy leaves that I love the most. Drizzled with Balsamic…

My dog is a high performance dog.... loves to run. I give her Blue Buffalo. I also give her treats like Zuke Power Bones, Blue Buffalo Super Bars and Greenies.

I have the Galaxy S III because I had to have a new phone now vs in Oct. You might like it faster than me since you have had a Samsung. For me it was purely cosmetic silly stuff but adjusting to how to do what I wanted on a Samsung vs a HTC was annoying. Just stupid stuff like it's more steps to set an alarm. The home…

We have had a ton of sweet white corn this summer. One of the vendors at our local farmer's market has some of the best I have ever had. Melts in your mouth. Sure it's a starch but who cares!

I like the C9 bras from Target. When I was at my highest weight, I started wearing the thin strapped sports bras from Target because underwires were killing me. I still wear them but a size smaller! I have a couple T back ones but I'm good with the thin strapped ones. I did break down and bought two real bras now that I…

You look so good and that smile says it all! Great job! You need to pat yourself on the back. :)

Instead of ground turkey...... I like to cook a bunch of chicken breast in a crockpot (great for those family packs or when it's on sale!) and then shred it. I will use it in soups, tacos, topping off some black beans and rice, sandwich wraps, etc. It's a different texture but something else you can do in bulk to have in…

I use it in pasta sauce, meatballs, shepherd's pie, chili, burgers, etc. We had turkey sliders last night. I just added some salsa verde (green salsa) and montreal seasonings. I fixed zucchini fries to go with them. I like sliders because the leftovers are great for lunch. Using things like salsa or grated onions as a mix…
