Mmm, today as on track as I'd like, looking forward to a long sleep and being refreshed to stay focused tomorrow

Thanks so much for bumping April I dropped 8 kg. May was a few rounds of up 2kg, and down 2kg. In that way that an arbitrary date can just give some structure and meaning, I've stepped up in June and aiming for 5kg further loss this month. I am surprised by the ways I delude myself, and the ways that the focus on weight…

I just avoid sugar and sweet things- changes the taste buds after a while

@baconslave and @KnitOrMiss Thanks so much for your efforts that benefit us all so much.

Welcome back Lori, won't take you long before you are eating like you love yourself- and aint that a grand thing

I laughed - with recognition. I'm dairy intolerant, but today, big work day, bringing on new staff, advocating for a 16 year old and a few big things, I'd only eaten about 300 calories by dinner time. I don't really register hunger in my belly, but I wanted to eat- and fast - so in the self deluded fashion of an addict, I…

much sympathy about your mum, and sympathy for the reach into ice cream etc . I'm a little late to the party, but very glad to be here:) Did extremely well in April, dropped 8kg, despite a few wobbles, sustained that in May, and now ready to focus and drop again in June. I'm starting Pete Evans 10 week Paleo plan - to keep…

Oh thanks for that. I must admit, I can be quite an addict when it comes to breads. My gut does not like grains, or tolerate them well at all.. so I'm not sure if I should even try. Perhaps I'll take not of this yummy looking bread, and keep it somewhere for a treat in a year's time or something- OR , maybe ask a friend to…

Thanks so much for this, I'm going to send this link to a bunch of people I work with.

Maybe.. I'm lowish carbs, not super low. I eat a lot of nuts. My favourite treat of all is rice milk - which has a lot of carbs - yet I do fine with it. Today, I was teaching interstate, then being picked up to go to theatre- and there was very little food in our apartment. I'm on 2 meals a day, so no food for the evening…

Yes, I've had all those improvements over the years with low carb version of paleo. I also notice my current WOE dramatically improved GI tract problems, which mean I am not getting blocked sinuses, nor phlegm being created in my GI tract to protect it form the acid reflux. Both of those things- sinuses clear, so all nose…

I'm watching both carbs and calories for now. I am not aiming for ketosis, rather for lowish carbs- always under 100, typically 40-80. AND I'm currently watching calories- which, to my surprise is helping me be a bit more conscious of what I'm eating. I'm enjoying Intermittent Fasting right now. .. not much help on the…

Go to the usda info site, enter it manually by gram, always use that entry. There are tons of bad entries in mfp. [/quote] Thanks guys, I wasn't sure where to go. I LOVE RED CAPSICUM I'm happy to forgo other things so I can eat it. And, its one of the vegetables highest in Vitamin C.. so thats a real plus of me.

Yeah, I'm bumping this also, so I remember it is there, and so that others see it

congrats on dropping the weight you have. You are obviously doing well so far. I'm not sure if you are in the low daily carber LCD group? They have great info on healing your pre diabetes.. Some of them are super high meat, other not. For me, I need some flesh eat lots of eggs, and low carbs - seems to be my ideal rhythm.

did the dr tell you why cutting our chicken and all mean was a good idea? They usually help keep our blood sugar levels stable. Though of course the hormones in them are not always so good for us. And, have you tried increasing celtic salt and or magnesium to sort the brain fog? When i'm eating clean I really have to…

imagine how much post surgery suffering could be avoided if people knew and did this

3 weeks ago I'd dropped 17lb, then 10 days off track, added back 4lb, a few days on track, dropped 2lb. Looking forward to dipping under where I was three weeks ago, in the 3 steps forward one step backward way I sometimes travel. I keep remembering "If I quit now I will soon be back to where I started, And when I started…

I think occasionally we all hate people like that:)

I just posted in the meticulous May thread, its been quite a lesson for me to watch myself be on track for 40 days, then off for 10 days, then regain equilibrium. Certainly eaitng a main meal for brunch has really set my days up well. Then having one whole day where I did nothing, talked to no one, just ate really well,…

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I was so on track in April, thought May would be a breeze, then one very late 3am to bed night, tiredness for days, and the clarity and vitality I feel while eating well gave way to cravings and addictive behaviour as I looked to find something yummy in the food - rather than living a…

Thanks for that..

wow, that's all so cool, I have nothing I can think of to add, just wanted to say thanks to all you intelligent, generous, self determined people all contributing to all of us having better lives

I reckon this is one of those that could go up on permanent post - sorry can;t remember what it is called. Greta advice.

Unreal. Fancy being attacked for telling someone to feed their child nutrient rich food. When you think of the GAPS work, and all of us health professionals trying to stop parents feeding so much grain and crap to their kids in order to prevent autism like symptoms, adhd and a whole host of other problems.. Grrrrr, this is…

Now that's a definition of love:)

Oh yes, good luck. I travel a lot for work, perhaps 4-5 days each fortnight- away at conferences, trainings, in hotels, apartments etc. For me, eating a good healthy high fat protein breakfast helps, making sure I get well enough sleep, so I'm not hormonally vulnerable, eating dinner earlier than normal so I search for…
