Working2BLean Oh yes, congratulations. Awesome weight loss, reclaiming of health, and it's quite touching feeling the sense of your humility. and, "sugar carbs are just the bad thing that unravels the other good things I am doing" - me too.

I wonder how many days it will take to hit the papers in Australia :)

Hilarious, thanks all of you, hilarious. I am gluten intolerant.. and I do have a range of other intolerances .. and I love his "how to become gluten intolerant" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oht9AEq1798 ... Now I reckon I might check out his "Tao of the man bun" and "How to ruin your relationship"

I don't often feel envy, but I feel envy that you can eat cheese with your eggs:) [I'm dairy intolerant, and cheese is a big no no for me] So happy for you.

Hi there from another Aussie. Yeah, lemon juice is great for many reasons, just make sure you clean your teeth straight afterward, always.. I know people who've ruined their teeth enamel from drinking lemon juice.

I have a number of food intolerances, and histamine reactions, and drug allergies. Cant drink alcohol at all, coffee, dairy, cheese, yoghurt, fermented foods- tho I take the point that I might want to play with that to improve the state of my gut, and a bunch of other things. I have found it amazing over the years to have…

You are a mine of information, thank you.

I always remember that motivation is what we need from the outside to make ourselves do what we don't really want to do. Inspiration is what arises from within when we are in touch with what really matters to us. So stay inspired. When my life gets busy and my eating is off track for days or longer, the moment I register…

Have you read the GAPS diet - Gut and Psychology Syndrome.. might be helpful to getting your gut flora into good shape, so digestion and whole GI tract works well.

Yes, its quite a lesson heh. I rarely eat bread, never eat pasta or rice, never drink coffee, cows milk, soft drink, lollies, alcohol- there are many things over the years I have just moved away from and not picked up again. But there are a few that feel like they are my best friends when I just want something yummy. It's…

I was completely clean, LCHF for 40 days, so thought this May would be a breeze, then one late night, visitors et al, and I have been wayward. Can I ask, how much time do you guys spend reading posts? I do not use social media, so don;t have tht regualr habit, and frequently struggle to prioritise checking in, and then I…

Thanks so much. .. I don;t use facebook, or other forms of social media, it is taking me a while to find my way around this huge landscape of info.. Checking the Launch pad was obvious- well, like most obvious things, obvious when you know.. So thanks muchly.

Having said all that, I think Phil Mafftone's work is the most useful I have ever read on building heart strength. It flies against common protocols, but I have cycling buddies in their 50's who have come back form significant injuries or illness, gone onto his program- which did drive them mad a bit at first - and when…

I agree. In my late 40's I sustained a HR of over 176 for 4 hours while hiking mountains. And then continued for another 6 hours that day, and 3 more days of hiking - though not at such consistently high HR. I was fine. You are 15 years younger than I was. Everyone really does have their own max heart rate, and like most…

Sorry to say I don;t have any tips, other than the words of a surgeon who said you need to give the body 2 years to shrink, readjust as much as it can before you know where you will end up. I have over 130lb to lose, I'm 5'7", and 17 lb down, I can already see that I will be like a wrinkly prune- all over. And I'm sad and…

Good luck. I think dropping weight is super hard on vegetarian diet, especially if you have PCOS which is very susceptible to hormone changes impacted by carbohydrates which intake of which is necessarily higher on vego diet. I wish you well

Yeah, I have those moments too, when i realise that the one icecream I ate last night was nearly 300 calories, plus 13 gms carbs.. and the 3 dark chocolate coated figs I ate the day before is about 350 calories and 20 grams carbs.. .. let alone the chemicals etc in these, and worse, after i eat them, I just want to eat…

Ok, winter is here in Australia, and having never been a broth fan, I reckon its time I try. In addition to post - thank you, do you guys have favourite sites for me to find good bone broth recipes.. I reckon using the crock pot is a great idea, I'd like to make some soups to eat when i come home on cold nights.

Yes, thank you for the reminder. I can end up on too few calories given my tendency to eat 2 meals a day most days because, like

.. Ha ha. I peel mine too.. but, I often include a little of the shell, crushed. Its really high in calcium, such an easy way to get it. I am on 2-3 a day.

Hi Gale, I don;t have any medical info, I eat pretty clean, I never use, or need deodorant unless I'm eating too much red meat - which I don't manage very well. I just came back form teaching for 3 days in the tropics, where I sweated like all get out, but no nasty smell. Yeahh

I ate fresh salmon and green veg for brunch to get back on track - I feel so satiated, am hoping that will re set me.

Congrats of being INactive. Good on you, and my best wishes are with you as you recover

I'm finally after planning, and, eating cooked fresh salmon, asparagus, brussel sprouts, capsicum, cauliflower for brunch. I was so satiated, my taste buds so happy, it really carried me through the day, and oddly gave me a sense of being back in control. I'm also really registering in a deep way, the extent of the battle.…
