Sometimes there is a lag between when you work out and when it uploads to MFP. I do not have the HR style but what I do is just set my settings to sedentary and let the FitBit do all the adjusting for me. It won't show in your news feed "did 60 minutes walking" etc but it will adjust for the extra activity.

I have the ONE and I love that I can just set it and forget it, I don't log any exercise, I just set my activity level to sedentary and let it do the adjustments.

I just try to break it down, usually you will know the size by the menu (like a 6oz Chicken breast) and just break down the ingredients from there. after you get your entries built up it gets easier.

Where do you get this info? Many people have done the research wearing both a fitbit and HRM and more often than not the burns are very similar. I set my MFP activity level to sedentary and let my FitBit adjust accordingly (as do many other people) and it works very well without having to wear a HRM all the time.

In My opinion the time does not matter. Calories in/Calories out. I never eat breakfast, log lunch,dinner, and an evening snack. Still three meals a day just different times. I'm not a DR. and people will argue it but it works for me.

The best thing I did was to stop overthinking it. I set my activity level to sedentary and typically eat about 1/2 my calories back. If you try to figure it all out you will drive yourself crazy.

I would Contact FitBit, Mine (and my wife's) goes at least a week. Also Join the FitBit user group on here lots of good info.
