People call you a troll because they hope this is not real OP.0

Regardless, unless you just lay there, it's a better calorie burn than walking.0

Hahahahahaha cute but no lol.
I'm sorry but you've asked for assistance. How can you help us to help you without more information? I really must insist. Maybe just the videos? I can probably piece the rest together myself. I'll be able to get an answer back to you in 20 minutes after receiving the requested information.

The silliness of sex threads that want to count calorie with the activity.
Hey so mine HRM said I burned 500 calories dancing last night with some girl at the bar.
Except that is the opposite of what I want. I don't want to log it as calories burned.
Um, yes. Because if you actually really cared about this problem, you would take the fitbit off for a session to compare data.
OP feels clothed with nothing on but the fitbit. Common sense says make a choice?
Like I said, if the 50-100 calories are SUCH a concern, she would take it off for a session. But, you don't get attention that way, so...
Excuse me? Since when is asking a question looking for attention. Shesh. Go bother someone else.
Your question has been answered several times on this thread.
And your point? I'm not allowed to ask for different opinions?kailibertsch wrote: »If you wear your fitbit on your non-dominant hand like it suggests, change the setting so that it thinks it is on your dominant hand. It is less sensitive that way.
Really? Where do I go to change it? I only saw the two options when I first set the fitbit up. I didn't know you could change it. Thank you!yopeeps025 wrote: »I'm have a tough time accepting that OP does not feel naked when OP is naked with the fitbit on.
Why? 95% of the time I'm home I'm nude.

Yeah but you're not nude if you still got fitbit on.

You need to log into your fitbit on the computer and change it under Settings. I'm not sure if you can access your settings with the phone app, I don't use that.0

So I have a really awkward question. I use my fitbit to log my daily burns, and it is great, but it has been counting bedroom activities as steps, especially if I am moving my wrist a lot. I know that people say sex burns calories, but I question the calorie burn fitbit comes up with (via thinking I'm taking steps, not manually logged). So my question is: how exactly can I make sure my fitbit is not over estimating my burn? I don't want to just take it off since I feel naked when its not on (I know that sounds odd given the nature of the question). So how you go about it? My thought is maybe manually log an exercise during that time frame and record 0cal burn, but then it gets logged as "active minutes".
You shouldn't be counting any calorie burns from a fitbit, it's the most inaccurate estimate for calorie burns. You already input your lifestyle on MFP and it gave you a deficit from the activity level you selected. MFP takes into account you walking to the bathroom, walking to work, cooking and even in your case the 100 calories you might burn during intercourse.
Fitbits are great to get your more active horrible calorie counters. Have an activity goal of like 1500 steps per day once you hit that up it to 1600 so on and so on.
You are wrong!!!! I've it used for 90% of my weight loss and lost 121 pounds using it and also using it for maintaining my weight now. Clearly you have no ideal what you are talking about.
No, no I am not.
Congrats on your loss but just because you lost weight doesn't make you knowledgeable which you just pointed out.

Great. Thank you.0 -
Sheesh. Now I kind of regret asking.0

Don't worry about it. We get this question all the time on here. If it's something you normally do just like doing the grocery shopping then don't bother logging it and if it's something you don't usually do then yes you can log it but it won't be a very big burn according to most that have used a heart rate monitor during sex.
That's a really fun experiment! Another reason to get an HRM0 -

Where do you get this info? Many people have done the research wearing both a fitbit and HRM and more often than not the burns are very similar. I set my MFP activity level to sedentary and let my FitBit adjust accordingly (as do many other people) and it works very well without having to wear a HRM all the time.

Really?!?!??? Some people need to just enjoy the fact that they are getting laid, and not worry about the calorie burn. OMG. Wearing a strap around your chest is so sexy... LOL. Just a little longer, honey, haven't burned enough calories yet...
Agreed if it were a regular thing but on the other hand I would love to knowonce or twice is fine right?

Although my boyfriend has just said we would need to do extensive testing in different positions and places, just to be sure we get sufficient data to draw statistically valid conclusions. "We shouldn't do this half-a$$ed" he said! We are so nerdy0 -

The show Sex Talk with Sunny Megatron did this experiment and answered that exact question. The results were disappointing if I remember correctly.0 -

Exactly.
It's not even worth quantifying really. It's like logging for doing a load of laundry.0 -

OP wants to know if there is a setting on the fitbit that will not count the calories during sex? Most answer were take it off. OP does not like that since she feels clothed while being naked with fitbit on.
