I was looking back at some old conversations on here, and was reminded that there used to be private, Invite only groups where you could cut loose a little, nothing serious just a little more private. Are those still a thing?

Positive Mental Attitude, and not screwing up on the weekends.

Unpopular opinion, what ever fits into your calorie budget. Time of day is irrelivant, Calories in/Calories out, no big secrets.

@bwmalone Well unfortunately COVID closed the facility I was teaching at for good. The Student is still cancer free and his mom said he is doing well in school. I don't much more than that.

I loved the libra but it was cost prohibitive, with a kid in a private university and just day to day living the extra $170 wasn't worth it to me.
-
It forced the facility I taught in to close as well.

Looking Forward to getting back in the groove and getting better

I like the hook kick break, a very underutilized kick

Abs are made in the Kitchen not the gym! You can lose all the weight you weight without setting foot in the gym, eat at a deficit and just move.

Class has been going well. The have learned a back leg front kick, the basics of punching, and a low block, as well as Stranger Danger and a wrist escape. Next week is the final class. I plan to run through all of the things we covered and play games that reinforce these techniques.

My A1c went up to a 7.6, I was TERRIBLE this winter. My own fault. Time to kick it in the butt and get it back down where it belongs.

Class went well, the kids had fun and the parents seemed happy. We learned a basic back leg front kick. They loved kicking the shields.

Sometimes we train Knife scenarios with Sidewalk Chalk as a knife, it leaves actual marks where you got hit. It opens a lot eyes about knife defense

The "Gun Culture" is overblown in the media. Guns are a part of American history, and written in to the constitution. It seems unusual to me to not be allowed by the government to have guns.

I look at carrying a gun much like wearing my seatbelt. I’m 42 and have never needed my seatbelt. But I wear it everywhere I go just in case I do need it. But it is a very personal choice and one that should not be taken lightly.
