  • Thanks Hilary. Did you lose the weight after ballooning? I don't need to be on medication currently, I was on it in response to huge stress and anxiety from my previous job but have left to improve my work/life balance.
  • I know it is different for different people. Mine is definitely riggers by coming off. I tapered off from May to July. By the end of July I was up by 4lbs. As I am usually a stable 120 lbs this was quite noticeable. I read a bit about people gaining weight when they come off so I popped one of my left over pills and over…
  • Hi Bbandme How is your training going? I'm running the marathon too, will be my first time and aiming for 4.40-5.00 hours like you. Am up to half marathon distance now and just praying I don't hit any injuries.
  • I can go up by 3-5lbs and feel very bloated. If I eat two bananas a day for the 3 days before I start I tend to find I don't put on at all. The high potassium in bananas helps to relieve fluid retention.
  • I have found the same thing. Depo is supposed to be a weight loss suppressant, even if you don't actually put on weight, it could be stopping you losing. I have been using it for 3 years and have decided to stop and use the IUD instead to see if that makes a difference. x
  • Body pump is quoted by the company as being 600 calories but when I wear a heartrate monitor I usually clock up around 300-400.

  • I try not to eat carbs after 6, and snack on protein or low carb snacks / fruit. This is because you are unlikely (unless it is a busy eve) to burn off the energy before you go to bed, especially in front of the telly! however, the odd naughty one sneaks through!
  • i know im sooooo pleased! i was stuck for at least a month and it was so frustrating! i tried increasing my calories as i was warned that going under my BMR could cause me to plataeu, but that didnt work, although i didnt put on any weight either. • I was on the pill for 6 years but i never really had any problems with losing (or gaining) weight on it! however, the pill, and any BC in fact, can seriously deplete a lot of vitamins and minerals from the body, and this can lead to you puttng on weight. The b-vitamins are especially at risk of this so check out getting…
  • i don't seem to be any of these  I have short limbs, a small lower body which rarely puts on much weight. My weight all goes on the top half, like an upside down pear! and i definately do not have long limbs!!! oh well! it sounds like an interesting theory though, maybe just not fitted to all women.
  • Hey i want to join too! I teach in england and we get free meals at school so i have to try and find a healthy option everyday. although we are a "healthy school" so no chips or burgers etc. but it is still hard. I find i over do the carbs and get tired in the afternoon. i have to resort to jacket potato and tuna…

  • I am in the same place! so frustrating! it was suggested to me that i had cut my calories too low as i was 200 calories below my BMR. Drink more water and keep it up i guess, hitting a plateau sucks, you have to push through it. good luck!

  • At a 32G i feel your pain! definitately go for a professional sports bra made for larger breasts. we have a great site in the uk called bravissimo.com but i don't know where you are from so possibly not an option! you need to have one with wide straps and thick support around the back. you won't sag your breasts through…

  • Help me please! I have been using this site for almost two months. I am a little over 120Ibs and 27yrs old. I am only aiming to lose 11 Ibs more but I can't seem to shift the weight. I am keeping under my 1200 calories a day, mostly averaging around 1000, and I am drinking a litre and a half of water a day. I stick to…
  • I know what you mean, morning exercise can seem quite scary when you set out, but be reassured; once you get up and get out it feels great to exercise first thing. The exercise, far from wearing you out, will leave you feeling energised and ready for the day. I always find that it is best to get straight out of bed and go!…
