I don't think you look too skinny. As for gaining, I don't think you can target areas for gaining. My suggestion is to do weight training and target all areas. Do legs one day, arms the other, etc. I found that even though my weight stayed the same, once I started working out and building muscle, my hip bones protruded…

Congratulations! You look great!

So are you going to eventually tell us?

^^ This! I also started out barely doing one and now, I'm up to about 15 or so. And, it didn't take long at all! What also helped me was planks. At first, I held a plank for about 5 seconds and now I can plank for about 2 minutes. Planks will make your arms quite strong and then push-ups are a breeze. Just stick with it!

No. My yorkie is cute, but not the brightest bulb. Every time he goes upstairs where there is carpet or I let him on the bed, he pees. I'm done dry cleaning the comforter. He gets a nice little section of the kitchen with his toys and his bed.

I'm 5' 7" and my SW was 178. My GW was 130. My CW is 117 and I am working on gaining a few.

570 days today!

I'm up at 3:30 AM and at the gym by 4. I do cardio and weights and I'm done by 5:15. I usually leave for work by 7 AM. I tried the evening workout, but it wasn't for me. Between long hours at work and responsibilities at home with the kids, I never seem to get there. The early AM workouts are perfect for me!

All I can say is that this thread is making me lose my appetite!
-
I'm up at 3:30 and at the gym from 4-5. I don't eat or drink before working out. As for music, I have Sirius XM and listen to 90's alternative radio all through my workout. Gets me totally pumped!! Now, if the wifi at the gym is down, I plug my headphones into the TV system and watch Law and Order re-runs.

You are an amazing inspiration. Congratulations and keep it going!

I work out from 4-5 AM. I started doing this about a year ago because between work and the family, I never had any time for me. It was really the only time I could find. Anyway, I started out a bit annoyed that 4 AM was the only "me" time I could find, but after a very short time, I realized that I LOVE working out that…

Turned 50 in June and I've been lifting for about 18 months. Friend request sent

All the time. I wish I could give you advice, but I do the same thing. Although for me, I like the control of knowing exactly what I am eating for the day. The pre-planning everything gives me the control.
-
I also think you need more food. I don't eat a lot, but 900-1000 calories is way too low. I used to eat about 1000 per day and people on this forum convinced me to increase my intake and BAM, the weight started coming off. Try it. Good luck!

I LOVE this post! Congratulations on you BOTH being winners!!

Wow, you've been through a lot. You look fantastic! Congratulations!

SW - 178 GW - 130 CW - 115 I hit my goal about 7 months ago and surprisingly, I've struggled to maintain. I find that it's easier to lose than to maintain. I should gain about 7-10 pounds, but I'll be happy if I stop losing.
-
I don't because I work out from 4-5:15 AM and I think I would hurl if I ate that early in the morning. I usually nibble on some trail mix on my way to work at 7 AM.
-
Wow!! Congratulations on your loss! Great progress!
-
I'm 5'7" and started out this journey at 178 lbs. I'm in maintenance now at 120 and always willing to help support anyone. Feel free to add me if you'd like. Good luck!!
-
Depends on how you feel and how you think you look. I am 5'7" and I weigh 117. It sounds thin, but I am very muscular and everyone tells me that I look good. I wouldn't obsess too much about the number. If you feel good and look good, you're good.

When I am away, I more or less stick to my eating plan. I may have a few treats here and there, but I always try to offset those calories with a work-out. You will find that others give themselves total freedom to eat whatever. It really is a ersonal choice. HAve fun.

What a beautiful post! Congratulations!

You look fantastic!! Congratulations!

It's only 1 week. Stick with it. And make sure you are accurately weighing and measuring your food. I know it can be discouraging, but hang in there and the scale will cooperate. Definitely don't give up!

Bump

This is precisely why I never go to the doctor!! You need to gauge how you feel and if you feel like you should lose 10 more pounds, then go for it!
-
For me, it's neither. I much prefer the arc trainer. Honestly, they all give a good workout. It's just personal preference.
