first off, i'd have cracked at the nuts and kept going through the pringles so, kudos to holding out at least a bit but, it seems the deal is people don't want to do their bad habits alone. misery loves company, so to speak, so there's the desire for others to join and validate their activities. that and, eating healthy is…

that is interesting! I've lost 90 lbs collectively (lowest I was down 145 lbs overall, have gained back since then), and very often am told there's no way I weight the amount I do, usually people guess about 50 lbs less than I am, or so. I usually just attribute that to people assuming the best, but I have no idea.

haha, yeah i've never seen that taught before well, I have always defined 'heavy lifting' as any weight that is difficult for you to complete more than 5 sets of, so it's heavy to them but, yes, the form is atrocious, which is why i'd say it's eye-opening for them
-
is it not a pain in your obliques or abs? that was a common issue earlier on in my running, I think just conditioning has helped some. if not, then I'm of no use haha
-
also, this is a good testament to the difficulty in lifting heavy and is eye-opening for many who haven't lifted before I'm sure
-
true

is it 'good form to have alternating grips when doing the clean? aka: right hand up, left hand down?
