  • I almost never go to GNC but I stopped in today and picked up Quest Chips and these. The initial BBQ flavor was good, but the chips themselves are pretty sawdusty. Too bad, I was really looking forward to enjoying them with my lunch salad.
  • I thought the Archer Farms Peanut Butter Chocolate was good, but not really superior to Enlightened's Peanut Butter Chocolate. When I first tried the AF one, I got a huge glob of peanut butter which was delish, but in my next serving, didn't get any peanut butter mix-in, which was a little disappointing. I tried the Mini…
  • There's an app called Moov that has free workouts or you can buy a premium subscription. I've created my own programs where I raise the incline at various intervals, it also makes the time go by. For example, I will do a minute at 1%, then a minute at 2%, then back to 1% for a minute, then 3%, then back down and so on. I…
  • No, but I really want to!!!
  • To all you ice cream lovers, Sunday is National Ice Cream Day and I'm sure that freebies will abound, but here's another one if you have a 16 Handles nearby:
  • I unsynced my FitBit from MFP and only add back calories for intentional exercise. I felt like I was gaining when they were syncing because I was eating back calories that I shouldn't have been.
  • Tried the One Cookie Dough and threw it out, reminded me of the Slim Fast chocolate chip bars. I like the Quest Cookie Dough better. And speaking of Quest, the Birthday Cake bar was yummy. It has a slightly gritty consistency, almost like cake, and it wasn't as shockingly sweet as the One Birthday Cake bar.
  • I can't remember if anyone has reviewed Swell by ProYo I should have taken a picture. I found it fairly disappointing. The PB flavor was very light and the chocolate chips were tiny and very sparse. I had to dig around the pint to find them. And there were no ribbon of PB like Enlightened. I chucked the rest of the pint…
  • I do IF (not strictly), and generally don't eat my lunch until 12. Everyday I bring a bag with my lunch and snacks for the day and usually plan to have one small snack every hour. It's something to look forward to and nice way to break up the day. My snacks are usually a square of dark chocolate, a banana, 80 cal. cup of…
  • I noticed that my fitbit would count steps when I talked with my hands, even when sitting still. So, I stopped using it. OP, I would unsync it from MFP, use it as way to increase your steps for your overall health and log your intentional exercise into MFP. In the end, the added calories that you get from steps but don't…
  • I had a similar test at my gym and . I'm 5'5, 39 and weigh around 151, aiming for 138. The generated report gave me an RMR or 1140, a "lifestyle burn" of 342 (just normal daily stuff, not exercise), for a total daily burn of 1,482. The trainer then told me, incorrectly, that if I ate 1482, I'd lose weight. As far as I…
  • Quinoa with cut avocado and tomato with some lime juice. Or carmelized butternut squash with glazed pecans and craisins (one of my best Thanksgiving recipes).
  • I haven’t tried this yet, but it looked pretty good and 16g protein for Mac and cheese sounds great! I also found the Breyers mini pints. Great for portion control if you like the taste. After the review of the Enlightened Glazed Donut, I’m dying to try it but can’t find it anywhere!!
  • Greek yogurt. I keep wanting to like it, but just can't.
  • I need the Glazed Donut in my life (I think)!! Can't wait to read the review!
  • I know that the scales that calculate BF % (the ones where you hold the bars and it scans you) are not super accurate, but as trends go, I've gone from 26% last March to 19% this month!
  • When I had my daughter two and a half years ago, I struggled with losing weight in a way that I hadn't with my previous 2 kids. Turns out I had a post-partum thyroid dysfunction which cleared up on its own around 6 months pp. If you're logging accurately and having trouble losing the weight, see your OB or endocrinologist…
  • I used my HRM for Zumba to see what it would give me. During the initial part of my weight loss, I could burn around 500 calories for an hour long class. As I've lost weight and improved my fitness level, the calories burned have decreased, and I generally give myself around 350 calories for a really intense class and a…
  • I've thought about it occasionally and read reviews for both coolsculpting and sculpsure (which is a heat version, as opposed to the cold version). The overall response seems to be that the results aren't super obvious. Also, it takes about 3 months after the treatment (which I've heard ranges from fairly uncomfortable to…
  • I'm a big fan of the "light & lean" options. The mac&cheese, spaghetti w/ "meat"balls, black bean burrito. I usually add stuff to them, a packet of tuna or some steamed broccoli to the mac & cheese (like tuna casserole, yum!), cheese to the pasta, enchilada sauce and cheese to the burrito. They are low enough in calories,…
  • I'm intrigued by these. Just ordered the variety pack from Amazon, there's a discount if you subscribe, but they are quite pricey. I'll report back once I get them.
  • I found the texture of the bread to be a little weird - too sponge-y for me. Of the baked good, I kind of liked the vanilla muffin, but couldn't eat the others. I am holding out hope for the pasta though. I love pasta and I'm hoping this one tastes ok. I am thinking about using it in a tuna casserole or something like that…
  • Thank you for the input, these are all very helpful!!
  • I bought one about a year or two ago. It sits under my desk at work, pretty much unused. It's good in theory, but I don't think it burns much. I used in a bunch in the beginning, but found that I couldn't really type or talk on the phone while using it, so I kind of gave up. Also, it was hard to keep my desk chair close…
  • I wore size 6 pants yesterday. I know they were super vanity-sized (Loft), but I'm counting it as a win anyway. I can't think of anytime that I've ever been a 6. My highest was a tight 18 (briefly after having my second), spent a long time in 12-14, then about a year in 10's. Lately the 8's in some brands have been feeling…
  • Okay, so I bought a new pint of Breyers Raspberry Fudge Swirl and this one was much better. The flavor was pretty good, a little artificial tasting, but nothing I couldn't deal with. I haven't gotten very far down in the pint, but it would be even better with more chocolate throughout. I may need to add some mini chocolate…
  • So I tried the Breyers, and while the flavor was pretty good, as raspberry flavors go, the texture was too icy, but I think it may be from the re-freezing, so I'm hoping to find it again. My initial purchase was at Shoprite (White Plains, NY). I didn't take a picture, but I will next time I find it!! Happy Hunting!
  • I love the Rainbow Swirl HT! Someone else posted that it tastes like a Push-pop, I totally agree. The ice cream is super light and the flavors really pop! I haven't tried the Raspberry Breyers Delight and the purchase may have been a mistake because it was pretty melted when I bought it, but I love all things flavored…
  • I second the Bob strollers. We're on our second single and have a double as well.
