Nearly 8 weeks in .. It's time to decide if I continue med free I'm feeling great.. Other than the winter sniffles.. Been seeing an amazing guy and been out and about every night.. I'm confident that the diet and lifestyle is holding strong and I'm going to extend the trail to 16 weeks to review again. I've not been…

6 weeks in.. feeling great.. and my social life has improved no end... So much easier when you don't have to plan around giving yourself a needle at 6:30pm (an being close to a hospital incase you have a reaction to the needle)

To be honest with you all... The reason I've done so well is a mix of fear and pride. Being diagnosed with a debilitating illness that the doctors and the science was telling me. Can only get worse.. Scared the crap outta me.. I was at a critical point.. I give up, and start planning for motorised wheel chairs and home…

Even if it only stays in remission for a few years.. This "lifestyle change" will have been worth it

This was my exact reason for doing a med free trial.. I've set myself a review date of 8 weeks.. At this point I will consider if I feel the meds were helping with the MS symptoms The MS drugs themselves are not known for reversing the brain lesions.. Only for slowing the progress.. So as such.. In my opinion it's the diet…

Today I'm 4 weeks off the Meds.. They should now be fully out of my system. I'm feeling great.. and even got back on the treadmill today! I was really hungry yesterday.. so I snacked a little more than I should have.. but still managed a 100gm loss (i know its not much.. but every down is not an up) Hope you are all doing…

Thanx again everyone for the encourage and support. Today is 3 weeks without the meds.. its been an interesting 3 weeks. but I'm feeling good about my decision to stop the meds. I went into the Neuro office yesterday (for my parents to donate blood to MS Research on genetic trace-ability) and they were all so happy with…

When I started my journey in June 2013 my fibro was so bad no one could touch me. I used to say, "it would hurt less if they actually stabbed me with a knife" But now.. I can enjoy a tickle fight as much as the other person. Without meds! I must admit with fatigue, pain and MS having made my whole right side non functional,…

Day 4 in a lapse of sanity I decided to snack on a homemade butter cookie.. So for the last 4 hours I have been in ED with a swollen throat.. Dose of steriods and I'm right to go home.. Neuro confirmed it's nothing to do with MS or the coming off my drugs.. Pure allergic reaction

Thanx again for all the comments... Day 3 Meds Free - No withdrawals.. feeling good!

Thanx Everyone for the positive feedback.. I believe all the changes to my diet had an effect on my symptoms. Weight loss was the side effect.. symptoms going away was the actual result. If you want to look at Diets for MS.. Have a look at the Terry Whals Diet (http://terrywahls.com/) or if you are in Australia you can…

I started by pacing my lounge room while watching TV - the TV seemed to distract from the movement a little.. it was like i was relaxing.. but exercising at the same time.. I also found that stopping eating foods that irritated my digestive system, left me less fatigued.. (as is it was like because my tummy was always…
