Hi everyone! I realize this post is a few weeks old but would love some more motivation! I’m 42, currently in the low 160s at 5’4”. Id like to lose 25-30. I made it 25 days into the Whole30 in January and felt great but the diet wasn’t sustainable for me. Feel free to add me!

Yay! I have one more vacation coming up but I'm hoping to stay on track with a few treats. Hoping to get a lot of exercise in while I'm on holiday as well! Looking forward to dropping this weight:)

I'm also trying for 20 pounds in the next few months. My goal is 40 but 20 for the short term:) can I add you?

Exactly! No tests:) This was an introductory conversation - just a quick - "let's clean up your diet before we talk about an exercise plan by cutting out dairy and gluten". It just didn't seem right to me. I've read, "it starts with food" and while I do think it is something that can work short term (whole30) to determine…

Thanks all. It wasn't sitting well with me but I wasn't sure if that was bc I enjoy bread and cheese - lol!

Thank you!!!

I agree with RoxieDawn! I've been in a terrible snacking pattern lately and it results in all my calories being consumed before dinner - so to stay under my goal In have to skip dinner:/ I end up consuming my calories in little unsatisfying bits (a few nuts here, a cheese stick, an apple, a bit of popcorn) that all add up…

Hi all - haven't checked in here in a while. Hope everyone is doing well! I'm having a hard time with snacking due to a motivational slump in my meal planning. Any tips for getting excited about planning out meals & grocery shopping? I already cleaned and organized the fridge hoping that would help but no dice

5'4" SW 168, size 14 CW 161.5, size 14 GW 130, size 8 My lowest weight (before 4 children) in my late 20's was 122 and I was a size 4. Don't think I'll get back there because my body shape has changed quite a lot but I would love to get down to an 8:)

Also curious, if you set you activity level to something above sedentary MFP adjusts your calorie target - are you doubling up then? I just want to make sure I'm not sabotaging myself by falsely inflating my caloric needs:)

I'd love to join this challenge! I have 30-40 pounds to lose. I've only lost ~3. Logging meals on MFP on a 1400 cal diet. Walking 5 days/week for 45-60 mins. Feel free to add me!

I turned 40 a few months ago and have 30-40 pounds to lose. I've been logging in and half-heartedly tracking but I've officially recommitted myself to losing the weight. Feel free to add me!

Thanks everyone! It's cycle related hormones that I struggle with. I think I've just been using it as an excuse to indulge more than anything else;) I need to have some smarted choices lined up so I don't fall prey to the junk.

You look fantastic! Can I ask how tall you are and what your age (range ;)) is?
-
Thanks everyone for your thoughtful replies. I had a balanced breakfast (nonfat Greek yogurt with three tablespoons of homemade granola) and hit the gym and am feeling better already!

Would love to join. I just turned 40 in December. Need to lose roughly 35 pounds. Been tracking on mfp and trying to move a bit each day. Hope to get moving more as the weather warms up.

Hi Jessica, I'm not a frequent poster but just wanted to wish you luck! I started a 40 for my 40th on Wednesday. I have until mid-December so a full 40 weeks at 1lb per week. Here's to a great next decade! Good luck, Lindsay

Hi Mamas! I am expecting my fourth baby on April 24, but will schedule a section as the date gets closer. This will be my second girl - yippee!! No names yet - the few I liked my oldest shot down :( anyway, I just started back with tracking so hoping it will help keep me honest. Last three babies I gained 35, 40, and 50…

Hi there! I'm almost 24 weeks (on Thursday) with my fourth as well and I started out a bit on the heavy side (160 lbs at 5'4"). I've gained 20 lbs already - yikes!!! With my previous I gained 35, 40, and 50 lbs and am hoping to keep it around 35 this time around. Would love some support.

I am 5'4" and was 160 when I got pregnant. This is my 4th baby and I am 38 years old. I am 23 weeks and have already gained 20 pounds! I've gained a lot with each pregnancy but I'm hoping to do a little better this time around. Before my first baby almost 7 years ago I weighed 130 and would love to eventually get back…
