  • If you are only 5' 4" then I would go through the set up again. I can't imagine 3000 calories a day.
  • 3000 does sound wrong by the way, but yes in the long run eating more will help you lose if you are that active. Make sure you are eating the right things. I know you are a student, but empty calories won't help. Small meals of good food throughout your day will help.
  • It is recommending you replace the calories you are burning when you exercise. Because if you sit idle during the day you will burn X number of calories. Sticking to your 1,200 calorie a day diet without exercise would result typically in a 1 to 2 pound a week loss. When you exercise you need to replace the calories you…
  • I turned it off as soon as he came on and said that kanye wanted to talk and not just perform.
  • I have a friend who takes it. She only take 1/2 a pill a day. It has aided her to lose some of her weight. The only problem is if you don't learn good eating habits as soon as you stop taking it the weight comes back on. You might consider having the doctor adjust your thyroid meds. I have seen this make a tremendous…
  • I have been doing it for about 4 months, but not everyday like you are supposed to. They are great workouts even if you don't follow the plan exactly. I just keep plugging along and I am seeing great reuslts.
  • It took me 4 months. I have not been doing the P90X every day like you are supposed to, but I haven't given up. If I take a couple of days off and don't do anything, I just pick right back off where I left off.
  • Amen to that and our sodas are only 25 cents. It is hard to choose the whole grain crackers and water over a Coke and a pack of peanut m&ms....
  • You may not realize it but you are more active when you are not at work. Unless you are a nurse or doctor or something where you stand all day. I know I put on 20 pounds when I started working a desk job instead of something where I moved around all day. So even though you were on vacation you were still probably moving…
  • I do the same thing. I leave and I come back. Glad to see you are back. Keep it up...just a couple of pounds at a time and you will be at your goal in no time. I am trying to completely cut out fast food and corn syrup. Not as easy as it sounds. I too refuse to give up my wine at night. :drinker:

  • A brief description: It comes with a full set of DVDs that you will interchange. It consists of 6 workouts a week that will trade up with new workouts about every 3 weeks. It comes with a great meal plan that has either pre-planned meals or if you are like me, how many of each food group you need in a day based on your…

  • Yes, I have found that planning my meals and then getting them ready the night before really helps. I have everything portioned out and I bring it in my lunch bag to work. That way there is no guessing and it helps me avoid Chik fil A outings...
  • oh well that makes much more sense. so I am right on track ....woo hooo:happy:
  • I followed the menu guide but it did say I needed to consume 3000 calories a day, which I don't think I can even do when I am eating properly. I used the portion guide, such and such number of protein a day etc, but I have put it into my calorie deal on this site and it seems to be working. I have upped my protein and…
  • Dumb bells but you only need the weight you are working with, right now I only have a set of 8lb and 25lb. As I progress I will get some heavier weights to use. They do pull ups using a pull up bar but you can also use the exercise bands. I bought one band from Target for $8. The rest is just you working your but off!!!!…
  • Beef, Cheese and the extra fiber can all be the culprits. Cheese is terrible for causing constipation. Make sure you are drinking more water with the increased fiber or it will just soak up the water and stay where it is at. :flowerforyou:
  • Cool Thanks everybody!!
  • A lot of things that are low fat or low calorie make up for the missing taste by jacking up the sodium. This is especially true in milk items that are low fat. I think drinking a lot of water will help flush some of this out, but try finding foods that are naturally low fat and cooking them yourself so you can control the…
  • that's fantastic. Keep up the good work!! Results are the greatest encouragement for the rest of us!!:drinker:
  • Sometimes it will take me a couple of months to actually lose any pounds but my inches will drop. Depending on your age etc your body will lose its fat in its own ways. Keep it up and the pounds will start to fall off!!!
  • There is a yogurt brand Liberte. They have a six grain yogurt. It is very creamy and has no added sugar. It is sweetened with fruit alone. It has 160 calories and three grams of fat. Stonyfield farms organic yogurt is good and creamy too and you won't have to strain it.
