I lost all my weight on 1200 and did not eat my exercise calories. I also am not an excessive exerciser. I lifted weights so I was able to maintain my lean muscle and my metabolism is fine. I also saw a dietitian ever 6 weeks and ate a HEALTHY 1200 diet, I didn't do the IIFYM and the healthier the food choices I made the…

Good point! It took a long time for me to get from a 16 to a 14 but from there down to an 8 was much faster.

I have pants in sizes 6, 8 and 10 and they all fit. It's weird! I don't mind the actual number I just would like it to be consistent so I didn't have to try on so many different sizes! I've also reached the point that I'm having problems with everything fitting except the waistband being too big.

Same here! I always thought I was a ruler and after I lost weight I am definitely a pear! Once I figured out which clothes flatter my body shape best I really like being a pear. I love the size of my hips and thighs and how I look in dresses.

That's weird, I've read this entire thread and there has not been one person to preach on the "clean eating" bandwagon. Most of the advice is IIFYM or try to incorporate some vegetables for a more nutrient rich diet. Weight loss or not, incorporating fresh fruits and vegetables into your diet is a good thing.

If the examples you gave above is what you consider "Mexican food" then I don't blame you. Go to an authentic Mexican/Hispanic/Latino restaurant and eat there before giving up on Mexican food

**high five** yep!

Are you wanting to eat vegetables to help you lose weight? If so, others have already mentioned IIFYM. But are you wanting to eat vegetables for nutrition? This is for kids, but any adult who refuses to eat vegetables probably eats like a kid anyway so maybe try some of these recipes? http://www.thesneakychef.com/ I have a…

Ok inquiry…. what exactly do you find sexy about it? Is it just the fact that we get in there and lift, or is it purely an aesthetic thing? Because a lot of us women who lift heavy don’t look like fitness models. Still sexy ?

I'm not an expert, but from my experience the more protein I eat the less hungry I feel. Your protein is really low. I started off with at least getting 30g per meal, so my minimum was 90g a day. I try for a lot more than that though.

I people watch, but I do a lot of things at the gym that people on here seem to find annoying, oh well. But I people watch pretty much everywhere I am, why should the gym be any different? I don't rudely stare or anything, I'm just a curious being :)

Oh no!! Don't feel silly, it's very common.

Don't get discouraged! It took me a long time to be able to do push-ups on my toes. You have to remember that push-ups aren't just about arm strength, core strength is more important. Start with planks to strengthen your core. Then incline pushups, like someone mentioned. Don't do them on the wall, it doesn't engage your…

I had to do it by looking at their legs, lol.

Same with me, and I think it's a good thing :)

You don't have to take anything fancy like lucozade or supplements or anything. Electrolytes are pretty much just salt. Like others said Potassium will help you stay hydrated. A banana, avocado and a favorite for potassium is coconut water. Someone else had a great list. Warm up, cool down, lots of water, stretching,…

Whew, glad I wasn't the only one thinking this!! He's in college, don't fight his battles, don't go and complain, let him grow up. And buy him some ear plugs.

Have you looked at the New Rules of Lifting for Women? It's pretty popular and I believe there is a group on here you can join. Strong lifts 5x5 is also popular but I've never tried it.

When I wanted to start lifting but didn't know how I hired a personal trainer. I also had a lot of anxiety at the gym, not knowing what to do or being around people who were intimidating to me. With the trainer I focus on his instruction and never even notice anyone. I'm more confident now and can do a lot on my own but…

I didn't read all the posts but I'm sure you've already received a lot of great advice. But my experience was that as soon as I started eating more my strength increased. Not just a little either, it REALLY increased.

I always thought they were acne too, I also have issues with adult hormonal acne. NO I never exfoliate any of my skin. I have really sensitive skin and I read a lot about how exfoliating actually can make your skin worse by drying it out. A lot of people do it, but I don't and I only use oils as a moisturizer, never…

I have Keratosis Pilaris, but it's on my upper arms not under them. Mine never itched either. It actually was pretty bad but I have almost got rid of it. Maybe 1 or 2 bumps now!! I wipe down my arms with Apple Cider Vinegar about once a week and I apply Organic Virgin Coconut Oil on them every day after I shower. I had…

Sounds a lot like a heat rash or something. I'd try to keep the area dry, out of the sun and cool and see what happens. I would not exfoliate, that will irritate it more. See how it is in a few days and then perhaps check in with your doctor.
-
If it's not Keratosis Pilaris (Which virgin coconut oil helps a lot) then it just sounds like a rash or irratation. Does it get worse when you exercise? Like your arms ( I call them my bat wings hehe) rub on your sides? If so you can try body glide or powder or something to help.

Strange, I thought her response to you was a little "off" too. Perhaps she misunderstood? You didn't say or push any preference.
