I'm 5' 6.5". SW: 178 GW: 137 I'm at about 148 right now. I was down near 142, but 'rebounded' some. :( Would like to be steadily in the upper 130s or low 140s. I'm disappointed in the rebound, but am experimenting trying to find a good "maintenance" level of calories/exercise. Haven't found it yet. :)

I'm on daily, except when I'm on vacation. Feel free to add me. Congrats on the 21lbs so far! That's great!

Gave blood on a Thursday last month and my "regular" lifting night was the following evening. Went to do my usual routine, and felt very yucky, a bit lightheaded, and generally not good at all. (I drink a minimum of a half gallon of water a day, so I was not dehydrated.) I cut off the last set of my lifting for that night,…

^^^ THIS. Not sure when it will change. I hope it does. I am now in a size 6 (size 4 in some things and size 8 in others), but I still "see" myself in the mirror as heavy, and observe the fat I can still see as unsightly. :| I am working toward being more toned and am making progress, but I still don't see a thin woman in…

For work, when it isn't always convenient to pre-make something, I have some frozen meals that I really like. They are from the brand "Amy's," and they're quite good. They fall in that 290 - 390 calorie range for most of them. Some of the flavors I like best are: Brown Rice & Vegetables; Mexican Casserole; Black beans &…

I eat! Mmmm! Feel free to add me. Age: 43 SW: 178 CW:144 GW: 137 UGW: 134 Began with MFP on 2/15/12. I have an open diary.

Just bought my first-ever bikini! Plan to wear it on our cruise in a week. I hope to have the courage to post after that! :)

I concur also. He should be your biggest cheerleader and supporter, not making statements to tear you down. I second the "see a counselor/therapist" sentiment. Losing weight isn't the root issue here, from what you've shared. You CAN lose weight, and you CAN be successful with your weight goals, but I fear that even if you…

I really recommend the book "New Rules of Lifting for Women" if you're a beginner. I just started lifting weights using this book in late October, and it has really helped me a lot. It does a great job of showing how to do the exercises, and it gives you 6 months+ of detailed workouts (3x per week) to follow. It's been…

Bump for later! Looks good!

I've started "New Rules of Lifting for Women" about 5 weeks ago. I really recommend it. Find it at any online bookstore or on Kindle. (I chose a paper copy so I can copy some of the workouts and toss them in my gym bag, etc.)

Kudos to you! Thanks for posting, and for the awesome inspiration!

My husband and I always cook different things for dinner. That way, he gets what (and as much) as he wants, and I'm in total control of what I eat. This wouldn't work for everyone, as we don't have kids to cook for, but it really helps us. He doesn't eat lunch, so he has a large breakfast and a large dinner, whereas I eat…

^^^^ THIS! Man or woman, pushing your significant other is NOT ok. NOT ok. Not ok. Having grown up with an abusive parent, there is no instance where a push is ok, that I can think of, unless you are trying to save someone from an oncoming bus, train, car, etc. A push in anger is never ok in my book.

Great job, you and your DH! STUNNING progress for both of you! My DH and I are each down about 35 lbs. More to go, but grateful for what we've done, and inspired by pics like yours. Thanks so much for sharing them!

All the best to you in your quest to be healthy, and to help your son be healthy, also! We're all in this thing together! This video was very enlightening to me, if you can spare the time to watch it all the way through, it's worth it. (It's a hard go when he gets pretty specific on metabolism, but it's worth it to watch…

Way to go, Steph! Looking great!!

Have used it as a natural bug killer. Also tried it as a supplement for awhile. No ill effects, but didn't get the "results" that some claim, like improved hair, skin, etc. Stopped using it as a supplement - also no ill effects from stopping. MFP, exercise, and eating well has done far more for me than food-grade DE did.…

I think you'll be fine with some rest days. I did it in 30 days straight, but I probably would have done just as well (or better) with some rest days. I agree with the other posts here - you CAN do it, and the first week is the toughest. My knees barked at me pretty bad for awhile, but I was careful to do things with good…

We love our Vitamix. We use it all the time. We have had it for almost 10 years, and one of the controls is starting to go, but the thing works like a champ. SO worth it. We have used it to make our own peanut butter, we have used it to grind up grain for flour, but mostly we use it to blend up fruit/veggies for smoothies.…

Bump for later. :)

Now I'm laughing so hard at my desk that my co-workers are going to wonder if I'm insane...

We love it. If you're looking for something to taste just like cow's milk, you'll be disappointed. But, if you're willing to have a new beverage experience and try it on its own merits, it's really quite tasty. The chocolate and the vanilla are both very nice. My husband uses the unsweetened vanilla on cereal. For regular…

I am 5' 6.5". I started at 178.5, and am now at 146.5. I'm looking to get down to around the low 20s in percentage of body fat, and hopefully a weight of around 135ish?? Add me if you like!

I did 30DS this summer. I have never been "in shape," so I worried a lot about it. I'll put your mind at ease, you can do it! You just need a couple of hand weights (choose a weight that seems good to you - I started with 2 pounders, and then got some 3 pounders near the end). There is a lot of jumping, so you may get sore…

Thank you so much for this post. I've been at a plateau for a little while. Started at 1200, did 30DS, bumped to 1320 because I was so hungry! Been doing lots of cardio, haven't done much lifting yet. Just bumped to 1500. Hoping for good results!

43 Years Old 5' 6.5" (I count as 5'7" for life insurance.) :) SW:178.5 CW 147 GW: 134? Not sure I've been stuck at 147 for a few weeks. I work out a LOT. Hoping for a break in the plateau.
