Mine is pretty low usually. Somewhere around 60. But I take blood pressure medication for border line hypertension and I hear that lowers your heart rate.

I guess some of us who are older people with joint problems are up the creek then because a lot of resistance exercise is just not good for me. I have arthritis in virtually every joint I possess, and I do some exercises with light weights on occasion but I don't see me doing much more than that because my joints can't…

I have thyroid disease and I promise you if I eat 2000 calories I WILL GAIN weight! I know my body and you clearly don't!

I'm 64 and as you can see, I have had a bit of success. Don't throw in the towel, it's not just about how you look but how healthy you are and how good you will feel!

For Thanksgiving I have some lower calorie ideas so I won't blow my calories on just one meal because I fully intend on staying within my calorie allowance! Going to mash butternut squash instead of high calorie sweet potato casserole and use a scant amount of butter in the mashed potatoes. Doing fresh green beans sauteed…

For absolutely nobody but me! When I made up my mind to lose, I jumped in with both feet.

Well I can do 600 or more on a stationary bike in 30 minutes. Ya need to really push it though on the tension levels.

This will be a challenge for me with my artificial knees. I'll give it a try and like you said I will do what I can.

Very good post, but I have to say, I can't eat till I am full or eat when I am hungry because I am always hungry. Now whether this is my actual appetite or just an emotion appetite is debatable. I also have hypothyroidism and I can tell you, unless I count calories I will gain weight. I have to be aware of what I am…

Ok so when I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, my doctor told me that my weight would return to normal with synthroid. Well guess what? It did not...I gained 40 lbs. So when I went in to see her after being on the meds for 4 months and mentioned to her that I thought I would lose weight, her comment was sometimes it does…

I found some almond nut-thins in my local grocery store and they are great to eat with cheese and fruit. If you are going for gluten free these are.

Wow! You look amazing! Congrats!

Well I'm retired but I have two grandsons who live here with us. They brought home a bag of candy from a local party at the park. I ate one tiny snack size twizzler and a sour thingy like a twizzler and that was it. Not too bad. I plan on keeping my distance from the candy and since I get no Trick or Treater's here if I…

I scored 53...There's not a whole lot I won't eat.

Hmmmm, I have an under active thyroid and I claimed that eating back my calories does not work for me. Got a little static about eating close to 1200. I will take this post as some validation, thanks!

Hmmmm going to make these right NOW!

We have gotten rid of milk altogether in our house and drink only almond milk.

I have not lost great amounts of weight at a time but the inches have surely flown off. I lost 10 lbs on my own before joining MFP. So now I am nearly to 69 lbs lost. Who would have thought it? This is a great tool if you are honest about what you're eating, and drink water! I find that my weight drops a little better when…

I'm 64 and have lost 66 pounds, 10 before I joined MFP. I have hypothyroidism so if I can lose weight so can your friend. I would send you pics if I had any but I am allergic to cameras, lol.
