  • Funny! For those that have to use deodorant because their appt is right after they get off work, they always have wipes there that clean the deodorant off. And wipes to put some back on! Good luck! :drinker:
  • I agree with what most others have said here. Some may think that brown rice is gross, but they may not have had tried a good brand. There are some brands of brown rice that are too sticky, just like some brands of white rice are. I personally do not like sticky rice. The brand that I never have trouble with is Uncle Ben's…
  • I have no interest in wearing one, I love my gorgeous one-piece. But as far as a size too big for a bikini, well....a size 4 is too big for a size 2 bikini. A size 6 is too big for a size 4 bikini. A size 12 is too big for a size 10 bikini. A size 26 is too big for a size 24 bikini. And so on and so forth. In other words,…
  • How sweet that the student brought that to you! Never refuse a gift from a child. If you don't want to drink it, don't. But the best option is to just enjoy the thing, log it, and move on. :flowerforyou:
  • I do this, too. But add in quotes from tv and books as well. Also, whenever I see someone in a movie or tv show, I remember what else they were in and tell anyone in the room who will listen. Or I have some kind of trivia about them.
  • Happily divorced for almost 7 years. So, almost 7 years. But the last couple of years of the marriage felt like I was single. But in other words, I have been happily single and am quite sick of it.
  • It really depends on the child and if they have a tendency to wander. Mine always have that tendency, so I have used them for years. I have 4 kids, but 3 of them are little. I am a single mom so I never have enough hands for all of them. So I use the harnesses. If they weren't in a stroller and could walk, they were on a…
  • I have sensitive skin, so I sympathize with you. Ever since it dawned on me that I have sensitive skin and have been using mostly sensitive skin products, my skin has been looking and feeling so much better. For eye makeup remover, I use plain good old Ponds cold cream and a couple of cotton balls. I can't use…
  • Napoleon Dynamite Dazed and Confused Any horror slasher movie (I don't mind scary movies, but hate the excessively gory ones) Twilight movies
  • Yes, rice, quinoa, grits, etc are usually 1/4 cup dry serving size. Cooked, they equal approx 3/4 cup to 1 cup. Test it by making just a 1/4 cup dry serving and measure the end results. :drinker:
  • Sweet? with pineapple or peaches. Savory? with smoked paprika or lemon pepper. Smoked paprika is my favorite! :smokin:
  • :flowerforyou: First, check with a doctor. Trouble falling asleep and trouble staying asleep are different things. I have to take Ambien for my insomnia. It doesn't knock you out and make you feel groggy the next day. It just makes it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep. Also, I find that a cup of sleepytime tea (my…

  • I eat real unsalted butter or the light Land O Lakes butter that is mixed with vegetable oil. It's spreadable, only 50 calories per tablespoon and reallly good. Sometimes I splurge and get the European butter (I think it's Irish or Danish) or the Amish unsalted butter that this little deli sells that is brought in from a…
  • Yep. That's why I usually order all of my clothes online. (except socks and underwear) It's frustrating because I try things on and I can't find anything that fits right or looks right, so then I go and put my own clothes back on and I wonder how I found them in the first place. :grumble: And I can't stand dressing room…
  • Looking forward to pie day. The OTHER holiday that is March 14th!
  • :flowerforyou: You and me both, honey. :ohwell:
  • :flowerforyou: Yummy! Bumpity bump bump! Thanks for sharing!
  • :drinker: Taurus-Rat You are imaginative, charming and truly generous to the person you love.
  • If you don't want to track sugar, set your food diary up to track other things. From main page: settings/diary settings/nutrients tracked. Change what you want to track from there. :flowerforyou: And like the others said, I wouldn't worry about sugars from fruit. Happy Friday!
  • Motivating? Yes. Realistic expectations? No. As long as you keep that in mind, it's all good. :drinker:
  • Nothing, zip, zero, nada. I also use the restroom first and weigh before eating or drinking anything. And....why would anyone measure their height wearing shoes?
  • lol I love Friends! It was Ross' way of flipping off his parents without using his middle finger. He was ticked at Rachel in that episode and did it. :drinker:
  • I have used the Ross fists, too!
  • I often use this one as my parents did before me: oh, son of a biscuit headed wenchweasel!.......... My son always asks...what is a wenchweasel? I also say "bloody" a lot. There's also: farfigpoopin!
  • True! TNP remembers when cuffing your jeans was cool.
  • You have to rinse them like crazy. Then pat as dry as you can. Then, nuke the heck out of them. They are eh, a decent substitue. For a spaghetti substitute, I like to use broccoli slaw that I have steamed and drained. It tastes better, no fishy smell, and at least has nutrients. :drinker: Another plus: broccoli slaw is a…
  • Never weigh yourself throughout the day after you've been eating/drinking. Always weigh at the same time on the same day. I do it once per week on a Sunday morning. Weigh: After using the bathroom (#1 and #2) Before eating or drinking anything No clothes on Scale in the exact same spot Same day Same approximate time On a…
  • You can freeze them. Peel, wrap in foil and freeze. Then just simply eat them like a popsicle. They get creamy-like when they are frozen and soooo good. You can even dip them in a little chocolate to make them extra special before you freeze them. :flowerforyou:
  • ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK GO KU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :flowerforyou:  :drinker:
  • You are right that Kansas is different. I grew up in Kansas and I am unlike 90% of its population. But I also live in the most liberal county in the state! Rock Chalk! :drinker: However....Kansas is definitely part of the Midwest and it is also in the Great Plains...depends on who you talk to.
