Hi everyone, from Grand Rapids. Nice to see there are some fellow Ohioans here. Don't feel so lonely now. Best of luck to all of you.

You have done an absolutely wonderful job. You look amazing, great work.

Holy cow, who is that hottie with the body, hope you don't take offense to that statement. I just am trying to say OMG, you look fantastic. You've done such a wonderful thing for your body and self, simply amazing. You have got to be so very proud of this accomplishment. If you can do this, you can do absolutely anything.

Snetterv, Prednisone is something that will make you retain water as well as want to eat. I know when they prescribe it for me because of allergies due to shellfish, usually when I need an MRI with contrast, I try to only take it if I absolutely need it. I never finish the whole script. I know that's not advisable,…

I'm a newbie, and I'd love to give it a try. I'm going to go with 50 miles this time around.

Gonna get crap for this one, but been a Brownie through and through. No fair weather fan here, you can't be if you're a Browns fan.

What the heck, I'm game. Need to work on my arms anyway. I hate that when I'm waving goodbye to someone with my hand, the back of my arms have to join in. I'm gonna get this.

I had a Hysterectomy a few years ago and I don't remember being bloated or gassy or having an issue with bowl movements. Now that I've started to eat clean and low carb I find that I am not as regular as I should be. I know this confuses me because I try and incorporate veggies, fruit and whole grains all day long. I use…

Congrats on your success, you look amazing. I didn't think the first pic looked so bad, but I know how you feel about what YOU see in a photo. You should be so very proud of your success. Keep up the great work. Again, you look amazing. How did you do it in only 6 months, that is just incredible.

Hi, I know what you mean about it being hard to lose weight when your are in constant pain and taking pain medication. I know, I not only have Fibro, but I have had two different Cervical surgeries and now the disc's in the lower back are starting to go, oh what fun. I also have trouble with both my shoulders. I've had the…

Madmoose, you beat me to it. I wanted to -I-O. Oh well, I guess there can never be too many of us. You've got another chicky from Ohio here. Just a bit west of Toledo a small town called Swanton. Love it out here. I too am a low-carber, so feel free to add me. Good luck with your success, I know you will do well.

You should not feel bad at all. You tried, that is something to be very proud of. You tried, you had to stop, but you tried. Tomorrow is another day and I bet that you do a little more. The next day even more, until one day you have completed the workout and look back on today and wonder why you where so worried about not…

Everyone can add me, I've started low carb. I really don't follow any particular diet, just trying to make a lifestyle change. I'm 46 years old and want to get into the best shape I've been in since I was in high school. I know this is a pretty lofty goal, but I really want to get there. I would love any friends that have…

Hi, I'm Kim. Sorry to have to meet you on the Chronic pain forum. I know how much it stinks to want to lose weight and not have the energy to exercise, and when you do have the energy, it hurts so darn bad. I wish you the best of luck and hope that you can get some answers with the testing you're having done. Feel free to…

Hi TAbby, welcome. Feel free to add me, I'm always looking for new friends. I suffer from two failed surgeries in my neck. My lower back is now collapsing on me, it's a domino effect. Once you have to have two disc's replaced and fused together, it puts pressure on the others. Well know the disc's in my lower back are…

Hi there, I'm about 30 minutes from there, give or take. I'm from Swanton. I was born and raised in Toledo.

Hi everyone, my name is Kim and I was born and raised in Toledo. I now live with my husband on a farm in Swanton. I am the mother of 4 grown kids, two boys and two girls. I am also a grandmother we have 3 granddaughters and our fourth is on the way in Oct. I'm 46, working on 47. I'm happy to have found this group. I am in…

I would have to ask what kind of challenge also? I would love to participate, but I find when I try and play with the big kids (like doing Power 90, Turbo Fire, Turbo Jam, and P90X) I end up hurting myself and am down for a few weeks. When this happens I feel like a failure and I hurt like hell and then I'm depressed…

You look great and your hard work is really paying off, and showing. Congrats on your graduation and you should always feel like royalty. Keep up the great work.

Mici, thanks for reading my post. No I don't think you were being mean, I know I have to just do it but it is so darn hard. I feel like I can barely make it up my steps sometimes I'm so tired. It is just ridiculous. I had my pain doc run some blood work on me and all my vitamin levels came back fine. I just don't know what…

Dyanna, thank you for reading my post. No there is no way to cut back on the meds, what I posted is the cut back version believe it or not. Since Feb. I have been eating very clean. No sugar, while flour, potato's or processed foods. That is how I've lost the 25 lbs.
-
Hi Rick, nice to meet you. My name is Kim and I'm not new, new but kind of old new. Did that make any sense? Oh well prolly not. I'm 46 year old mom of 4 and grandma to 4 girls who are my whole world. I started my journey in Feb. I decided I wanted to lose 100lbs. To date I've lost 25 and I'm pretty happy so far. I would…

You did a fantastic job with the dress. I wish I had talent like that. You have also done a fantastic job with your weight loss. Lookin' good, keep it up.

Hi all, I'm 46 and I consider myself to be a very cool kid, although my kids would disagree. I am working on losing another 70 lbs. I have meet some really nice people on this forum and I love being able to track all of my food, def. keeps me in line. I would like to get down to 150 eventually. My S.W. was 238 and I am now…

Hi, and congrats on your weight loss to date. That is simply amazing. I know how you feel with the whole disc thing. I have two bulging in my lower back, plus an annulus tear. It is so much fun (add sarcasm here). I too live in Ohio, Swanton to be exact. I would like to lose about 75 more lbs. I started this journey at 237…

Had the same issue when we started to eat clean. The only thing I can tell you is that your body will need to adjust, eat fiber in the way of veggies and drink a lot, and I mean a lot of water, this will def. help. I didn't at first, just kept it at 8-8oz. glasses a day. Well that wasn't enough for me, so I started to…

Wow, thank you so very much for posting this. I thought I did the unforgivable last night when I had 1/2 cup of ice cream. Now I don't feel so bad. I guess we can indulge a little without killing ourselves. Again thanks you so very much for this, you made my day.
-
You are an amazing inspiration, not only to me, but others as well. Congratulation on your drive and desire to get healthy. You look absolutely amazing and I'm sure you feel the same. Again, congrats and thanks for sharing your success, Kim.

I don't mean to sound trite, but it is just a pound. I know there are days I get on the scale and it goes up like 2-3 pounds. This is even after I've been extremely careful with my calories, my carbs (as I'm on a low carb diet) and my water intake. I get so frustrated also. I've read a lot where stress can cause you to…

I know if you go to Amazon, they have chair workouts. Don't know if this is something you can do, I would definitely speak with your doc about it. What kind of restrictions are you on, I mean other than the obvious? Just start slow what ever you decide to do. Hope this helps, Kim.
