Your shoulders definitely look more defined! It's crazy what you can accomplish in just one month of dedication! Great work.

Absolutely incredibly!!! I hope you're loving your new life!

Great, thanks for your response! Can you see any downside to supplementing with running a few days a week, as long as I'm smart about choosing which days I run?

Hey all- question from a marathon runner. I just borrowed P90X3 from a friend and was looking at the "Lean" schedule, but after doing the first Accelerator workout today it didn't feel as intense as some other Beach Body stuff I've done (like Insanity). Does it get a lot more intense as time goes by?

You look amazing- and great job starting your running journey while it was still snowy outside!!!

I have a year-old Boykin spaniel. She gets a 15-20 minute walk in the morning and another at lunch, and then playtime in the evening. We're working on running, now that she's old enough. I'm basically doing C25K for her :-)

I usually deducted 20-80 calories off whatever it told me- depending on the magnitude of my burn. Can't say how that compares to... anything else... but it worked for me. I tracked 95% of my workouts for about 8 months and steadily lost weight using those as my exercise calorie numbers.

They'll absorb some oil as you're frying them, so, yes. It's hard to say how much though- you might want to measure the oil carefully.

I'm 5' even, start in March 2012 at 150 and have been maintaining around 120 since August of 2012. I ate 1200 calories + exercise for the first 4 months, did the 30 DS and a lot of running (3-4 times per week). I bumped up to 1400, then 1500, then 1600 calories, always eating exercise calories back. Now I'm maintaining…

For what it's worth, I use a Garden of Life Vegan/Raw Protein powder (cocao flavor!)- it's dairy and soy free- and my guess is it is less likely to have trace heavy metals in it than more processed stuff like Muscle Milk. But- DEFINITELY don't take that suggestion if your doctor or research suggests otherwise- I have yet…

Eggs! Oatmeal with a tablespoon of peanut butter mixed in is one of my favorites. Mixing a half-scoop of protein powder in with breakfast cereal is a good way to add more protein to it; I use a chocolate protein powder in lower-sugar cereal, gives me more fiber and it's more filling, but still with some chocolatey goodness.

Congratulations- your smile says it all!

Rinse berries in a vinegar/water solution as soon as you get home from the grocery store; they stay good MUCH longer.

My tattoo is on my upper back/shoulder- so its visible in certain tank tops and in anything with a "racer back" style, but isn't always showing. Most people don't quickly gain weight on their upper backs; I've had it 5 years so I can't say much about long-term skin sagging.

I'm 5' even, run regularly but have a sedentary job; currently I'm maintaining around 122 pounds eating 1650 calories + exercise.

My personal rule-of-thumb for beer and chocolate is, if I work out that day, I can "buy" some with my exercise calories. If I don't workout, I generally try to use all my calories for more nutritious things. It's been working for me, through a 30 pound weight loss and a few months (so far!) of maintenance.

Running CAN be bad for your joints, but it doesn't have to be. Try investing in a pair of Merrells/Nike Free's/Newtons/Vibrams or some other barefoot or transition shoe. One of the main benefits of barefoot-style running is that your gait changes so that your muscles are absorbing the impact, not your joints.

Your legs will get stronger, your heart will get stronger, and your head will get stronger as you gain confidence in a given distance. Plus, the more weight you lose, the easier it gets!

I have friends who LOVE these workouts and do them all the time. I borrowed some DVDs from a friend and quickly realized they weren't going to work for me. The workouts are fast-paced and go back and forth between kick-boxing and more dance-style moves. I'm not a super coordinated person, have no dance training, and…

I'm 5' even. I ate 1200+exercise calories a day and succesfully lost weight- from150 to 130- then I slowly upped my calories from 1200 to 1250 to 1300 etc, continued to lose weight. Currently I'm at 122 pounds, eating 1650+exercise calories, and I"m maintaining weight. I'm a runner and run 3-4 times a week plus a day of…
