Hi! I'm 5'2 (and a half), and maintaining at around 105 lbs for over 10 yrs now. I originally had lost about 20ish pounds (freshman 20). I maintain on around 1500 cals, and only cut back to 1200 when I feel like I'm gaining (if clothes start feeling snug). Exercising regularly definitely allows me to eat a bit more, but in…

I added it to my homemade pesto and smoothies.

1 tsp apple cider vinegar in a big glass of water before every meal. But tbh, the glass of water on its own will also do the trick...and you will end up eating less.

The binges are probably happening because you're under eating and over depriving yourself during the day. Your blood sugar is probably reaching a low point by the time you reach for the carbs, so once you start eating (especially something you like) it turns into a binge. Try eating more regularly, divide your daily…

^^ this and/or increase portion sizes slightly

I try to do cardio regularly because I love the way it makes me feel. It's necessary for cardiovascular health and it's probably the best anti-aging trick there is...but it's not necessary for maintaining your weight. You can do that by eating your maintenance calories. However, if you can get into a routine of doing…

If you don't eat out regularly, then even if it's not 100% accurate, it won't matter in the long run. I usually go with the numbers given.

I said no to donuts that were brought into the office this morning for someone's birthday.

I love my nutribullet.

The less weight you have to lose, the longer it takes. Can you find 20ish minutes per day to work out at home? Try Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. Working out changes your body composition, the last few pounds might not matter once you firm up with exercise.

5'2.5" (close enough to 5'3" right? ) I maintain 100-110 lbs on about 1500 calories per day...but there are definitely days when I go above that, and occasionally I'll drop below that. I tend to adjust my portions based on how my clothes are feeling.

Keeping a food journal really helps. Some foods cause water retention/bloating. Also for women, your TOTM can cause weight fluctuations... 5 lb within the month due to these factors is normal. I try to stay within a +/- 5 lb range (as someone else mentioned above). If you have a healthy lifestyle, then the fluctuations…

5'2" maintaining 100-110 lbs, its been over 10 years now. Once I adopted a healthy lifestyle, my weight stabilized and I am now able to control the ups and downs. I've also identified all the foods that cause bloating/etc which used to make me think I was gaining weight. Now I avoid those foods, or at least know…

Magnesium supplements have a laxative effect. You may be taking too much. Other supplements also cause a laxative effect (for example Vitamin C), so if you happen to be combining other supps, you could be exacerbating the problem. Definitely speak to your doctor.

I like to do flavored vodka (like absolut grapefruit) with club soda. Also when I mix my own drinks I pour half shots instead of full shots to reduce the calories further...so I can drink 2 drinks, and only get hit with the calories for 1 ounce of vodka!

Ok so if you were losing then you're probably eating the right amount, your body is adjusting, every week may not be a consistent loss...and as I mentioned with the deficit being not that huge it can take time to see the loss..things like water retention, sodium intake, bathroom schedule, time of month, all play a role in…

How long have you been tracking for? I can't see your journal so can't give any specific suggestions on dietary changes How many meals per day do you eat? I usually try to eat every few hours to keep my energy levels up. What calorie intake did this site suggest? We're roughly the same height and I can maintain my weight…

The tools on this site should tell you exactly how many calories to eat. Just follow that, and continue to update your journal and track your progress. If you're already eating in the right calorie range that the site recommends then consider focusing on the actual foods you are eating, try and choose healthy whole food…

This 100%. I started out eating fast food but limiting calories, and I lost weight, I slowly learned more about the importance and impact of nutrition and I kept improving and making better and better changes. Expecting others to be at the same point I am now would be unfair. It took me 10 years to get my eating as healthy…

As others have said, they're not the best choice, BUT because they are portion controlled and calorie controlled you can definitely lose weight by eating them. It's basically the same concept as Jenny Craig style dieting with the pre-packaged meals. For anyone who has a hard time with portion control and hates cooking,…
