  • Hi, I am waiting for my book to arrive. Tried to start without it, but can't find enough info on it to do a good enough try. Congrats! That's great wt. loss!
  • Glad to see this being discussed. I "forgot" & took ibuprofen for my back (it went out)... gained 4 lbs. Stopped taking it the next day, but the extra wt. is still with me. I'm concerned. Any ideas to help flush it out? Thanks.
  • Good job kkauz, You're on the right track! I went to a naturopath also & have been working with her on the adrenal fatigue, and also vitamins. The Dr complied to my using Natural thyroid instead of synthroid, and so between the two of them I've received health-restoring treatment. Thanks for sharing! :flowerforyou:
  • Very common. So thankful for that site stopthethyroidmadness.com & book.:flowerforyou:
  • Hi, I take natural thyroid (armour). I feel great! The synthetic made me feel like I was menopausal. Hope you get things worked out.
  • Very good link. It is accurate for me, if I go by my goal wt. it is exactly how many calories I ate to lose wt. & maintain. :drinker:

  • :flowerforyou: Welcome Jessica, I hope the synthroid continues to help. Many of us have found the natural thyroid meds to be much better. Because it also contains the T3, whereas the synthetic has only T4. It would be benificial for you to read through the links in the beginning of this site. It contains much good info.…

  • Sounds good Linda, It certainly is a challenge cooking two different menu's. My DH is naturally thin, so doesn't eat the way I do. With the diet constantly changing its been really a stretch on my brain, planning my meals AND his! I'm so happy for your friend! Wow, that's a LOT of inches! Way To Go! :drinker:…
  • Phase 2 is also hard on my system. Even though you get to eat veggies, it is very constipating. I already have that kind of attitude toward food... just take it like medicine, since I'm on such a restrictive diet (food sensitivities). I take magnesium citrate capsules to help with the constipation, but I need to find the…
  • How wonderful for you!! I'm so happy to hear of your success! :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks!
  • Ah sorry that happened! I got the app today & discovered that I have been eating way too much on phase 3! oops... no wonder I felt so stuffed all day! Sure glad to have the app now, it will get me on track. I put myself right back where I started doing that. :ohwell: But its got to be good for the metabolism healing!…
  • I just downloaded the app & plugged in my day... last day of phase 3. From what I can tell, I've made mistakes... I thought we had to eat fruit at breakfast, each snack & lunch... been too full! Also thought broccoli was on phase 3. Interesting. Anyway, it will be very handy to have on my iphone for grocery shopping!…
  • :flowerforyou: Welcome Marla ((hugs)) I feel your pain. I was just diagnosed one year ago. There is an awful lot of info to absorb & learn. I'm thankful for that STTM too. Actually bought the book & use it for a reference. Its been especially helpful to me for regulating thyroid & adrenal issues. Hope you find the support…
  • :flowerforyou: Welcome Lou, So happy for you. Yes, I am always directing people to that web page & book... Many of us here have been helped by it.
  • Well said Linda! I've done another metabolism diet, and it really did work. This one is far "faster" than the other one was... it had a 6 week "conditioning" diet to get your calories up... it also worked on a rotation basis. I was able to lose a lot of wt. on it & eating far more food than what I gained the weight…
  • I'm on my first week, second day of phase 3 so a bit different than those of you who started on Monday. My wt. went up2 lbs this morning, from 1st phase 3 day (accidentally ate smoked almonds, and system froze up on phase 2)... but still down 2 lbs from start.
  • I feel like I'm eating way too much on this. Question: I saw someone was eating carrots. Is that included in Phase 3? I'm having a hard time maneuvering my way through the book, its on kindle... might have to buy a real book. :grumble: Breakfast Oatmeal/coconut/nuts/coconut oil mix almond milk blueberries broccoli Snack…
  • Thanks! I can't remember how to determine pt. 1 portion now either... but I did have less for pt 3 today.
  • I made the mistake of eating smoked almonds today... realized later that that means "not raw"...:ohwell: I thoroughly enjoyed Phase 3 today! Actually stuffed. I have the book on kindle, it sure is hard to make lists, etc... wish there was a way to print off the essential lists. Have any of you found those phases in print…
  • So, yeah what is the portion size of grain for ph 3? Just started it this morning  I'm a happy camper!!
  • Hello, I bought the ebook & started phase 1 two days ago, heading into phase 2 tomorrow. I don't really need to lose weight, but want to get into a better maintenance plan. Amazingly feeling good on this... its not too much different then my normal diet, except I haven't been able to quit coffee. Funny thing though, I'm…
