  • I agree that the P90x yoga is somewhat repetitive, but don`t judge all yogas based on that one alone, and don`t discredit the benif of P90x yoga even if it is not your cup of tea. The overall benifit of yoga in terms of how your feel, strenght, endurance, flexibility, focus are pretty insane. Take a look at the people in…
  • learn about your BMR. Then learn about your TDEE. understand that MFP creates a calorie deficit to your TDEE without couting exercise calories. At this point you shoudl know ho wmany calories you need to eat in aday to lose weight. understand why you have to eat your exercise calories back. Now learn portion control and…
  • 1 or 2 cups of oil? in a styr fry? something isn`t right there. that's more like deep fried. to fry a large head of broccoli, a pepper or 2 and an onion I will use maybe 2 tbsp of oilive oil, probably less. 2 tbsp would be 240 calories and 14g of fat. Using 2 cups would be disaterous.
  • wow, that target looks like a really low body fat %. Would be quite and accomplishment to get that far. So far you're looking very good. Huge change already, way to go.
  • this thread is a great example of how overused and misunderstood starvation mode is.
  • to trigger fat loss during exercise you should be maintaining an elevated heart rate for a minimum of 20 minutes. If you are doign 16-20 minutes i think you are cutting yourself off before it gets benificial. Aim for a minimum of 30 minutes instead. And bring your heart rate up to just below where you start to lose your…
  • wow, you're way samller than me and lost way more than I have been. I`m sure it becasue i haven`t been doing as much cardio. 5/6 times a week is really impressive. I go 4 times a week usually, sometimes 5, sometimes 3 tho. I should do like you and go more often. Those are some sick results! good work. Total transformation.
  • buy whey protein powder and make them yourselve. Its the most healthy and cost effective way. Many of teh store bought bottled one are packed with refined sugar. Mix your powder with milk, or blend with milk and frozen fruit. There are so many options to make from home, its awesome.
  • you can manually change your protein goals. Set it to 30% instead of 15%. 15% is way low.

  • by chatting with the fuzzy i thought this would be a thread about going down south. lol, gutterball.
  • what size match box? The little one that is 3'x2'x1', or the large one that are like 5'x3'x2'. Also, shouldn't the matchbox size depend on the size of the rower?. A 150lbs female rower would likely need a smaller matchbox than a 200lbs male rower.
  • I don`t see whey protein as very different from regular food. It is the extracted protein from milk. 1 scoop is like drinking 4 cups of milk without the sugar and fat. The transformation process is a byproduct of cheese production. So it is as unnatural as cheese. After I workout, I get changed, drive home then take a…
  • I understand that it would suck to lose to someone who lost 1 or 2 lbs more than you, but at least they earned it. Put yourself in their shoes. Imagine if you lost all your weight the regular way but someone who loss less than you but ate next to nothing and sweated like a pig for 36hours just edges ahead of you. That…
  • I hear ya bro. I can`t enjoy my social life without red bulls either. wait, what?
  • margarine is hydrogenated oil. butter is saturated animal fat. I think the 2nd one is better. I'm interested in what otehrs says.
  • your macronutrients seem to be set at 30/40/30, C/P/F but you rarely ever meet your protein. I think you should definitely up your protein intake. Maybe set it to 30% but make sure you reach it evey day. Protein will help your body rebuild your muscles after a work out, so if you can get a protein shake down as soon a…
  • 20lbs in 2 weeks is a lot of weight lose for guy your size. You are definitely losing muscle mass alogn with fat. That is going to make it harder to keep the weight off. Exercise a little less or eat a little more, or both. You should aim for 2lbs/week loss. 10lbs/week is not good.
  • It all about the number of calories. You seem to eat 3 (4 with desert) time per day. I`ll assume 1400 cals is a good daily caloric intake for you. Then you need to eat tree 400 calorie meals and a 200 calorie desert. Your oatmeal breakfast is probably under 400 cals and your soup is very likely low cal too. Try to have…
  • If you exercise 3-5 times a week and only eat about 1000 calories per day I think you are undereating. You target should be closer to1400 calories per day. Creating such a large deficit for soemone your size by only averaging 1000 calories per day will cause you to lose muscle mass, have decreased energy, reduce your…
  • a low cal diet that results in 12 lbs lost in 2 weeks is the definition of putting your body into starvation mode. I can eat 2400 calories a day with nothing but healthy food everyday no problem. Finding calorie dense healthy food isn`t that hard.
  • oh by legume you meant legume. I thought you meant vegetables.
  • if it is green, you can usually chop it up a bit, then put it in a pan on medium to med-high heat with some olive oil for a couple minutes. Near the end you can add some vegetable seasoning, pepper, garlic or some soy sauce. Styr fry instant magic goodness. Works well for peppers, green beans, onion, broccoli, spinach.…
  • it's love at first type. beautiful ;)
  • liquor doesn`t have any carbs in it, and your body does not metabolize alcohol into fat. So if all you do is drink liquor, you won`t put on any fat. Dry wines are low carb, but sweet wine is higher in carbs. Consuming carbs with your alcohol will cause your body to store the carbs as fat since it will be using the alcohol…
  • So you gained 2 lbs in 1 week and now you want to get rid of 2 lbs really fast to compensate. That isn`t nescessary. Stick to a healthy diet and exercise and those 2lbs will come off in 1 or 2 weeks anyways. You say you are going to eat super healthy and take al lot of water, you should always be doing this. You should…
  • taking your measurements will reveal body cahnges that are not reflected on your scale.
  • do you exercise? If yes, do you do strengnt training? If not, then that is what you need. You objictive should not be weight loss. Your objective should be to reduce your body fat%. To do that you will have to build muscle. To build muscle you need to focus on strenght training as opposed to cardio aand include a higher…
  • a healthy balanced diet is a better choice than a cleanse. What do you want to acheive with your cleanse?
  • well if you compare our caloric needs to that of a 120lbs woman, we do need nearly double what they need. Regardlesss of that fact, overeating got us to where we are. Portion control is key, even if we are on 2500 calories diets.
  • so you want him to net -30 at the casinos? haha. Good work on the weight bro, you are looking healthier.
