I gained around 30lbs over a year when I quit 9 years ago (I smoked 15 cigs a day for 35 years), but it has all come off again now and the huge difference to my lungs, stamina, taste buds, sense of smell (and the way I used to smell!) etc far outweighs the temporary weight gain. I would never, EVER, take them back up again…

^ This........ it will come off again - mostly bloat, not fat

Ha-ha.... I can more than one pencil case under my boobs  Thankfully though I passed the butt pencil test and I am the oldest so far at 52! I have a big round behind as well, so I was pleasantly surprised!

I did it right the way through in April/May and although I didn't lose many pounds (about 5) I did lose a total of 12.5 inches overall. I now do Level 2 back-to-back with Level 3 (around an hour in total) twice a week along with No More Trouble Zones and some cardio too. I started off using large tins as weights but Ia m…

Ha-ha, I hear you! We are in Wales - one of the wettest parts of the UK - but thankfully no flooding yet. It would be biblical by proportion to flood where we are anyway as we are 600ft above sea level  However, we have friends in Cumbria who have already been flooded out once and it seems there is another lot on…

I did it in May and lost a totalof 12.5 inches overall plus 5.5lbs. Well worth it and I am about to start NoMore Trouble Zones which, I am told, is another killer! Stick with it, you will be delighted with the results

As someone who has battle with her weight on and off for at least 35 years I wholeheartedly agree with this comment. I have tried pretty much every kind of restrictive diet known to mankind - none of which were sustainable and all of which lead to regaining the weight I had lost and then more. This time (and it will be the…

I agree with you. I don't really care what other people log - that is their business and if it is working for them that's all that matters. Oh, and "bingo wings" are the wobbly bits of loose muscle/skin on the backs of the upper arms. So called by us Brits because they flap about like wings when middle aged ladies wave…

Foo Fighters, The Cult, Jimi Hendrix, The Stones, ZZ Top, Led Zepplin, U2............. mostly UK & a bit ecelctic!

What an incredible transformation!! Well done on all your hard work and good luck with your new goal......... I have no doubt you will achieve that too

My HRM and my trusty Fitbit that loves to throw me a challenge every day
-
I'm 20lbs down now and the only person to notice (or to comment at least) is my DH - and I suspect that's only to make me feel better!
-
I have had my Fitbit since April and find it a great motivator to keep moving. Iuse it in conjunction with MFP and it works well for me. I am in a very sedentary office based job and find it very useful to encourage me to walk more to get more steps and grow my little flower's leaves

Ha-ha....... she makes me crack up when she has a go Natalie when she catches her slacking off a bit  I must say though, I have done the 30DS right the way through twice now and I STILL can't do some of Nat's moves - she is FIT!

I did the 30 day shred a couple of months ago and did 6 days on and one day off. Had great results with overall loss of 12.5 inches. I didn't lose that much weight - just under 5 lbs - but then again I don't have much to lose to get to goal now anyway and am only aiming for 1/2 a pound a week. I still work 2-3 days of…

Level 3, doing all the exercises Natalie's tougher way = 155-160 cals for me. I am 53 years old, 5' 5" and weigh around 164lbs.
-
I use 2kg dumbells now, but I started off with large cans and progressed to 1kg weights before upping to the 2kg ones. I was pathetically feeble when I started :embarassed:
-
I used to log the shred as circuit training but manually enter the calories burned from my HRM when I did it. You are right that the calories burn from MFP is somewhat overgenerous - as it is with most exercises - which is why I bought the HRM! Enjoy your shredding - I regularly still do a couple of days of Level 2 or 3…

I work full time as the Executive Officer (aka "Jack of all trades, master of some"!) of a UK thrombosis charity.

My husband is 65 in October and cooks amazingly well - in fact he does most of the cooking as he's retired now but I am still working full-time. Shame your other half into cooking by telling him if an old fart like mine can manage it so can he  My biggest problem is he does like to add "extras" in (ie: masses of…

Do you have Photobucket? You can post photos from there too.

Myth.......... eat when you like, just don't go over your calorie goals.

This is as brave as I get - a tankini. I am off to Greece later this week and might get brave enough to replace the bottom with knickers rather than shorts - we shall see............

I live in rural West Wales now, but originate from North Shields in Tyneside.

<<<<< I work for a thrombosis awareness charity.

I'm a Fitbit girl all the way. The only con I can mention is that it is not good at calculating calories for strength training, Zumba, cycling etc but I also have an excellent HRM so I use this and adjust that calorie output - no biggie!

Salted roasted cashew nuts by the bagful

Mine is not me - Christ I wish it was! I am probably a good 30 years older than that lass, but she does have a big a** and lots of curves and so do I. I can relate to the message on it which is why I chose it! I have always had stick for being big butted and it was nice to find a positive message about us ladies with…

If it is menstrual water retention you might like to try dandelion tea - not the most palatable stuff in the world, but a great diuretic which will help you move some of the water bloat if that's what it is....... Sometimes I am so glad I am too old for all that nonsense any more - my TOTM was a PITA!
