This sounds good. I think I'll try them in my cornstick pans, so they'll get nice & crispy.

Well, yes, I'm serious. Actually, it's in The Joy of Cooking, but it's also how my mom did it for 80+ years.

I don't do either - I rub my bird with Crisco, put in a 450 oven & immediately drop the temp to 350 and roast 20 mins. per pound. It's always beautifully browned and tender & juicy.

I make my own yogurt, and either sweeten it with sugar and add vanilla, or leave it plain. If I make plain yogurt, then when I eat it I usually sweeten it with honey. I started making my own because unless I buy just about anything other than Dannon Plain Yogurt, it ALL (even lots of organic yogurts) has a bunch of stuff…

It's just cornmeal. Grits is coarser than polenta. Go to foodnetwork.com & do a search for Giada De Laurentis' Basic Polenta. If you make it at home with plain cornmeal, it's actually very, very inexpensive. Or you can buy it already cooked, and it comes in a roll. I agree with the previous poster in that I think it's…

I love this Butternut Squash Soup - it's from Allrecipes. My husband doesn't care for it, so I get all of it! Ingredients • 6 tablespoons chopped onion • 4 tablespoons olive oil or canola oil • 6 cups peeled and cubed butternut squash (2 medium squash) • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored & cubed** • 4 cups chicken broth • 1/2…

Can't wait to try these!

Season chicken with taco or fajita seasoning (I usually mix up my own - cumin, chili powder, oregano, etc.), place breasts in casserole, top with salsa & shredded cheese - cheddar, colby, Monterrey Jack, or a mixture. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, or until chicken is done. This would also be good with a fruit salsa, or…

Hope you like it, spozzybear. It's my absolutely favorite hummus!

I've done this with both cod & tilapia. Salt & pepper the filets, top with salsa, then with crushed tortilla chips, then shredded sharp cheddar. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, or until fish flakes easily.

I love WW and only recently canceled my online membership just because of the cost, and decided to try MFP instead. So far, it seems to be a wash. That is, I'm eating about the same for 1200 calories as I was for 29 points, even with including fruits & veggies in my MFP tracker.

You could also try some slow churned ice cream, which really & truly IS real ice cream! Most of them are 100-120 cal. per serving. - Edy's, Kroger's, Breyers, etc. - and delicious.

I'm sorry about your diagnosis. My husband had interstitial nephritis several years ago, and I understand what you're dealing with when it comes to limiting/eliminating your sodium intake. Fill up your shelves with Mrs. Dash - lots of different varieties! Also, there are other salt-free seasonings you can try. Experiment…

You can go to Subway's website & look up nutritional values for all their menu items, and "build" your sandwich. That will give you values for all the nutritional items you want to track.

I'm in Tennessee and every Subway I've ever visited uses the squeeze bottles for condiments, too. Who'd have thought that us hillbillies would be on the cutting edge of sanitation? Anyway, and maybe someone else has already pointed this out & I missed it, but at least at Subway everything's out in the open. What about what…
