  • Hi there! When it comes to ground turkey, pretty much anything where you would use beef, you can use the ground turkey in it's place. But I did find some recipes online for you, if you want to check them out. Hope this helps you some! http://www.delish.com/cooking/g2144/ground-turkey-recipes/?…

  • For me, everyday is different. I have found that if I eat only 3 meals a day and that's it, I'm sleeping on the couch right after dinner and I have no energy the next day. BUT, what I have found for me is, 3 healthy meals, with 3 healthy snacks - helps. It keeps the blood sugars leveled and I tend to feel much better and I…
  • YES, it can be done. It just takes allot more than before, but you can do it. I had 3/4 of my thyroid removed and live off that lovely pill and it is harder, but it can be done. What I have found, is first - DON'T BEAT YOURSELF UP! Second, you do have to watch what you eat and third - you have to find an exercise you love…
  • I do both. During the day, I log as I go. Dinner time, I prelog, that way I can measure out correctly, which is something new I am doing and that way I can get a better idea of what the best choices would be to eat. For example, last nights dinner was a turkey dinner and all the fixings. After prelogging, I could see what…

  • Okay, I am going to update what I said earlier - my MFP friends are AWESOME!!! I accept, because we are all here for the same reason. BUT I will not accept, if they are promoting a product or trying to sell me something. I am not here for that, so those people I will not accept. I get enough telemarketers calling my home,…

  • I don't know of any guidelines on here, but fruit and veggies are the best things you can eat. I have a list of fruits/veggies for you that might help, maybe picking a better one over the other. Some are higher in sugars or starch than others, but they are always a better choice then something fatty!! Hope this helps you…
  • Here are a few that I found, but haven't tried yet. They are dinner ideas that are 500 calories or less. You would just have to adjust your calorie intake for breakfast and lunch. Also, if you're on Pinterest, you can find allot on there, Pin them and try at a later date! :)) Hope these help!!! :)) Bean Margherita Penne…

  • My eyes last year started itching and swelling up really bad. It got so bad, people thought I was crying all the time. I made an appointment with my eye dr. and he found that I had severe dry eye. He said that he could not rule out, that it had to do with my thyroid, because your thyroid is connected to so many things in…
  • I saw an article on Armour Thyroid and it sounded amazing and I had an appointment with my doctor and asked his opinion on it and he told me, that it does sound great and he was all for it, until he saw where it can strip your body of antibodies and that is something we need. He said that he won't recommend it to any of…
  • Fatigue and vertigo is probably my worse complaint and then I would have to say weight loss and hair loss - although I have found one thing for my hair that works for me and even my beautician, who has been doing my hair forever, told me that whatever I am using, don't stop. I have always had baby fine hair and losing it…
  • I admit it took me awhile to remember to take that little pill. When I would wake up in the morning and got busy getting all the kids out the door for school and hubby off to work and make sure the cat and dog were taken care of.....I would sit there and say to myself "Did I take my pill?" My husband found an app on my…
  • I have hypothyroidism and had surgery 8 years ago to remove most of my thyroid, because the test I had done came back cancer and thankfully, after they tested the pieces they took, it was not cancer - I am thankful for that. But, now I live on a pill, same one you take. I have found that you can lose weight, but if you…

  • I have an English Bulldog and she has allot of issues, but after talking with our Vet, we started on one brand and just went from there. About the time, I thought 'yes, this one is going to work for her'....something else would come up.....soooo, after about 4 to 5 different brands and base ingredient foods, she ended up…
