  • I consider the house cleaning and other daily activites with the "Lightly active" category vs it being extra exercise. My exercise is just that-my exercise. And if I DO any extra stuff like house cleaning or something, then I consider it as extra calories burned that day, which could counteract maybe something I ate bad…
  • I would DEFINITELY check the menu before going, but I DO know off the top of my head that the apricot chicken is one of the lower calories meals--it's 2 small chicken breast served with steamed broccoli. Try to portion control the breadsticks. If you REALLY want one, eat half of it with the salad, and then eat the other…
  • Good job! Keep up the hard work! Stay dedicated!
  • Too many times for my tastes! I live with my parents (I'm the only child left in the house), so my mother doesn't like cooking that much, so we eat out a couple of times a week--I've been trying to decline invitations out & cook at home, but sometimes I am just TOO tired at the end of the night to be bothered. Sometimes…
  • I started a carb detox on Sunday and have been getting something similar when I workout. I feel like it's because all I have in my body right now is protein and veggies. I already drink lots of water, so I know it can't be that. I know for me it's a lack of carbs in my body, because I've never had this issue before, so…
  • Hahaha! This was me a couple of months ago! I completed my first half back in March--you should see the back of my car now! lol (stickers GALORE)
  • I don't really consider it strange: but my biggest motivation is the anticipation of trying on wedding dresses. I have been on a weight loss journey for 4 years, but 4 years ago was NOT in a serious relationship. I am now and prob will be getting engaged/married within the next year, but I figured 4 years ago, I'd get a…
  • I would look into the "You" books by Dr Oz. I started reading one and it just breaks down how food/macronutrients work and why it's important to you. I think I was reading "You on a Diet", but I can't remember because I have his first two "You" books. But I thought the content was easy to read and understand.
  • I'm West of ATL. I either wake up early to get my runs in before the sun gets TOO hot (around 8am) or I just run on a treadmill/ indoors.
  • Maybe try an online dating website? It's 2012, so you don't have to be AS scared with online dating, these days, and it's become more of a norm now. Or a friend's party? Or through a mutual friend? A good handful of friends and I have met our significant others at our friend's parties/game-night events. When I was single,…
  • I was using cocoa butter to help mine fade, but as I kept losing weight, I ended up getting MORE stretch marks...so I gave up. So like a previous person posted: just learn to love them/tolerate them.
  • While my boobs have become slightly more perkier, my cup size is smaller (From a full D to a small D)...which I'm kind of disappointed with. My boobs have always been proportionate with my size and never a health problem, but I feel like they are kind of small now and wish I had my bigger, original size back on my smaller…
  • I try to run 3x a week. My running distance will vary depending on my training. Currently I'm training for a 10K, so I do 2 30 minute interval runs and 1 long distance run day (aiming 4.5-6 miles depending on how much time I have that day). I can get bored with running, so on my two 30 minute running days, I add something…
  • ^^ THIS! I recently started weight training, so even if I can't lose the weight, I'm at least losing inches. The downfall now is that I've gained muscle weight and now the scale has gone up :0(
  • Maybe do planks on your forearms and while in plank pose, every 15 or 30 seconds (or however long you can hold it), go from full plank, then plank on your knees, then back to a full plank. That might help you build up the strength.
  • Hello. I'm 25, graduated from college with a Biology degree and work in a hospital... and sometimes I feel like I work with cats...lol
  • I've heard this song like 6 times today since I started listening to music at work (around 8:30a)...It's being overplayed!
  • Yes! SO TRUE! I started my weight-loss journey for self reasons, but have inspired a mass span of people over the past 4 years and I have people Facebooking or Emailing me regularly asking me for tips and advice. I honestly feel kind of honored that people trust my advice!
  • Nice Read. I can relate to this SO well. I remember being the fat girl in middle school and high school--never wanting to run EVER, and then when I started my weight-loss journey and beginning my running journey... and then falling in love with the sport... I completed my first Half-Marathon in March. I feel like a…
  • I used Splenda for the longest time and loved it, but after hearing on Dr Oz that Splenda usually results in your craving sugar MORE, I decided to make a switch, since I ALREADY have a big sweet tooth and struggle to control it some times. I use Truvia (while more expensive)...tried buying the wal-mart brand, but after…
  • I use Nike +. The app on my iPhone hasn't been syncing lately, but I have it on my iPod and sync it through iTunes. I don't really care about tracking my course, so it works for what I need: milage, pace, time, and estimated calories burned. Hopefully with the Nike + website update coming out soon, that the app on my…
  • Good Life by OneRepublic Song ALWAYS gets me in a good mood!
  • I usually get the greek yogurt with fruit in it already. But I put a 1/4 cup of Back to Nature Granola (I get it at Publix- Vanilla Almonda Agave is my favorite flavor) and eat it with the yogurt. My coworker does a cup of plain, fresh strawberries, cinnamon and 1/4 cup of sliced almonds--it looked DELICIOUS when she…
  • Sorry you are sick. This year, I have decided to workout when I'm sick--even if it's just something light. I know with a respiratory infection it might hinder you, but maybe you can walk or something at a slow moderate pace or yoga? Getting your HR up will help the blood flow better and help get the immune fighting cells…
  • I too hate weight training, but I am at the point where I probably won't be able to lose much more weight, but I would LOVE to LOOK thinner--and the best way to burn inches is through strength training. I bought this book that was suggested to me: Turn Up Your Fat Burn: Go from Frustrated to Fit... It has a 4 week program,…
  • I don't have kids...but I will TOTALLY watch it on my own! lol I am SO digging Tarzan! :drinker: :flowerforyou:
