what happened to the idea of equal opportunity NOT equal outcome?

completely agree with you. this whole over sensitive mentality comes from the over privileged whiners who cant pick themselves up by their bootstraps and make a change. you speak the truth and dont sugar coat it for the whiners. im sick of the whiners and selfish slobs destrying our society. you are right on. i have…

Haha. Haven't commented on this thread yet because its just such an old argument. But you really make me laugh.

Thanks for the support! I was sort of expecting to be crucified. Lol but yes I have hashimotos too. I feel much better after the diet change.

I haven't used a micro wave oven in 3 years. I moved to a new place, and didn't have one. And I put a tv in my kitchen so I can watch my stories when I am cooking. But the tv takes up the spot where the micro wave should go. So I just never got one. And I'm cheap so unless someone gives me a hand me down I'm not buying one…

Actually you can, you just have to be more mindful of certain things that effect your energy out side of the equation. Energy balance equation still holds [/quote] So like I said....its not the energy equation ALONE. I never doubted the energy equation, just stated that there is more to it....and you just agreed....so some…

So then some of us maybe juuuust maybe are "special snowflakes" after all....maybe juuuuuust maybe some of us can't work on the energy balance equation alone, which goes against what a lot of people here tout all over the place and make people who struggle to lose feel bad and dumb and lazy. Maybe juuuuust maybe there is…

....right....not everyone has such severe hormonal crap as me....but that still doesn't make me lazy or unable to count....whats your point?
-
For me yeah! I wasn't sitting on my *kitten* all day eating cheetos. I counted calories and ate the "right" amount of food. I danced for many years and live a very active life. I steadily gained while eating at a deficit. I have thyroid disease, pcos, celiac, and low vitamin d. (all of which I have cured by changing my…

Riiiiight. Those dumb slovenly lazy people who can't count calories and are too lazy to work out. Yes that's it. You solved the obesity crisis in one sentence!!! Voila!
-
Don't you think if "eat less move more" actually worked, then no one would be fat?!?!?!

Cute

It's an excuse /cop out unless they have tried it. Remember paleo is about health not weight loss. I have lost a lot of weight quickly but my mom has barely lost ten lbs. She cheats more than I do and she has slight diabetes but she still tries. I am trying to help her along the way. Men seem to lose weight easier but if a…

Right on. People think whole wheat means their food is a miraculous calorie free nutrient dense super food. Whole wheat doesn't mean jack as far as it being "healthier" And BTW I freaking love mayo and i make my own and eat it all the time and lost 47 lbs eating lots of mayo.

Thank you all so much!!!! To answer some questions, yes I did stick with paleo the whole 6 months. It's actually more like 7 months at this point. Since I hit my goal weight I stopped working out but continue to eat paleo most of the time. I get my calcium from green leafy veggies and fruits. Mother nature gave us all we…

I couldn't agree with you more. I was once of the mindset that food only came from the grocery store. I was totally disconnected with my food and where it came from. Then a light switched or something because I realized the importance of having access to fresh local foods. I now get my dairy and eggs from a local dairy.…

No there ain't no moral....I just like that story...

Every morning I wake up and I smoke a cigarette. And for breakfast I eat five strips of bacon. And for lunch a bacon sandwich. And for a mid day snack...BACON. A WHOLE DAMN PLATE. and I usually drink my dinner. Now according to all those flat belly experts, I shoulda took a dirt nap 30 years ago! Just goes to show ya.
-
Also, agree with what the poster above me said. Just drink club soda and lime and no one will be the wiser. And you will feel better.

Hey there. I have discovered since going primal my tolerance for alcohol went way down. So that was what helped me a lot was learning to stop after two or three not caring because any more than that and I will be sick. So try and stretch out the drinks time wise. It will seem like you are drinking along with your friends…
