I abide by an atkins diet because that's what *MY* metabolism burns best (and trust me, I've tried them all.) After years of bulimia, my body doesn't process carbs anymore. Just make sure you're eating by the plan which includes half of your Induction carbs from vegetable sources. I eat a lot of spinach, avocado,…

And for the record, I'm a size 14/ L/XL Top and I'm 5'10. He was a douchy pretty boy who insisted on meeting even though I didn't feel good. He claimed he was 5'11, yet I towered over him like some insane Amazon linebacker. *sigh* I swear I'm just gonna start collecting cats. They could care less if I'm soft around the…

Thank you guys. The nausea hasn't subsided yet. But you made me smile through the frustrated tears. Single mom. New in town. Trying to put myself out there. Shot down. Epic Fail.

I buy cases of bottled water and keep one 16 oz bottle with me all the time (not a big jug) and try to drink 4 of them a day. Not the most cost effective method, but it works best for me. Just remember to recycle the bottles! I also gave up diet soda so its been a conscious effort to switch it with water. Not easy, but its…

Good lord, me too!! I wish I could just rearrange some junk in the trunk to some padding in the front. But then again, I 'grew' to a C cup during pregnancy. I was estatic! Now they are endangered of extinction!! :)

Hey there :) there is a different between a sick obsession and a healthy obsession. I know this because I'm bulimic (and recovering again!) That's a sick obsession. The difference is that you can function otherwise in your life - your life doesn't revolve around or crash because you missed a workout or eat something…

How about finding a 'buddy' to split everything with - half your burger, half your hot dog, chicken, ribs, etc. I also recommend logging ahead of time if you know what they will be serving! Enjoy your BBQ! :)

thank you all for your posts. :) It feels good to have it out there.

*high five* YES!

If you've eaten a total of 1200 calories, but burned off 570 in work out, you're only really at 630 NET calories for the day. That's how that works. You may show some loss in the beginning with these kind of numbers but you're on a fast track to starvation mode plateau.

I like the Yogaworks Series (I get mine via cable OnDemand, though) and I'm at the beginner's level. But there are more advanced DVD's in the series.

I <3 you Sister. Thank you for being awesome. :) xoxox Emi

First off you should be congratulated for taking steps to improve your health. That is not something to be embarrassed about. But I completely understand not wanting to open your diary up. I just recently opened mine and its not that I cared for others to see it. It was about me letting go of my fear. As an overweight…

Ive been plateauing for about 2 months, but mostly because I was neglecting my net cals, only eating about 1200-1400 TOTAL a day and working out like I'm going to the olympics! Doesn't work. I was worn out and frustrated from no results. Last two weeks, I made sure I ate enough, drank plenty of water, get plenty of SLEEP!…

I posted a message on this yesterday about NET calories. When I was 300 lbs, it wasn't so big a deal, I didn't work out that hard. But now that I work out more, it does make a big difference. If you find you are plateauing, it is because you aren't eating enough, most likely. Here's the hypothethical math: MFP says eat…

Hey there, I DO know what you are going through. I was bulimic for 13 years. I've been recovered for a year and half. There IS hope for you. So never give up. The guilt can be overwhelming, but you are seeking professional help for that. I have no doubt the struggles you are going through are monumental. The trick is to…

I LOVE these. I do Beginning Yoga almost nightly. For someone who's never attempted yoga, its awesome. I highly recommend it.! I've also done the Hip Hop Body Shop Dance workout, its fun!
