Once you add every exercise in for a day... the next day simply copy the previous day's exercise. That works well for me. You can edit the daily entry once it is added. I do that with my food all the time... no more search and find and my entries are done in a snap! Note: This works well for me because I do the same…

I'm in on the stairs suggestion. When I travel out east and stay in a hotel, I purposefully ask for a room on the 4th or 5th floor and then ask for the location of the stairs. The Desk Clerk looks at me a little crazy and points to the emergency fire stairway (who else would use stairs right!). Before calling it a day I…

I'm in for Ian!

Ha! It is almost like you directed your question to me! LOL! No I never purposefully shop in the children's section because I find the inseam in the jeans and the length of the pants or sleeves just are not right... I am too tall! But the salesclerk at Old Navy has suggested (on more than one occasion) that if I want to…

I don't know... I don't put much credence to the number! For the last 690 days I have eaten virtually the same foods (for the most part... lets just say approximately 90% of the time over nearly the last 2 years my food consumption has not changed...). I log everything I eat except for a few sugar free, 0 calorie, flavor…

I've been in maintenance now for 18 months... I am still apprehensive about gaining back the weight. For me I learned calorie counting is not an exact science. Most always, nutritional labels on food identify calorie counts a little less than actual so taking that into consideration and knowing I do not weigh my food; I…

I have had great success... but check out my post "Counting calories is not an exact science". There is a great link there to misleading calorie information on nutritional labels... Overall, the best way to drop those last 5 pounds is to find what works for you! For me, daily logging of foods, calorie deficit and increased…

I would not take it to the personal level and give her anything like a sex toy... looks like the gifts she gave you focused on kitchen items and if you want to make point that will not "hit her too far below the belt"... maybe try looking at this link... just a thought and good luck to you!…

I cut out nearly all sugar from my diet (one can never cut out ALL sugar!)... cold turkey... but that was for medical reasons (type II Diabetic) and I used (still use) sugar substitutes. It is doable, but unless you have a medical reason, I would not jump on the "no sugar bandwagon". Going cold turkey will make you feel…

Heaven help you with this post! LOL! The ridicule replies, for consuming less than 1200 calories a day, will come flooding in soon! After all, we know the people who post to these forums on MFP know more than your doctor! All that said, I am in agreement with you. You chose your medical professional for a reason, you trust…

I log my food every day and continue to count my calories. I have been on maintenance now for nearly a year... this is what I found works for me.
-
If you are logging for calories, then most cooking sprays contain 0 calories so I would not be concerned if it was left off. If you are logging for nutrients, then log it all! The scanning feature in the MFP mobile app makes logging anything with a bar code a piece of cake... the choice is yours. Remember, all food items…

I love my increased self confidence... I have become more outgoing and friendly! It is also a plus to fit in a skinny seat on the bus!

Vanity sizing yes... but sizes do vary by designer and maker. I found Old Navy and the Gap size 0 runs a bit larger than let's say... 7 for All Mankind. The huge difference between size 2 and size 0 is the availability of clothes. You are very young so finding stylish and age appropriate size 0 and 00 should be a piece of…

When I finally accepted I was a Type II diabetic and obese. Now, according to my physician, I am no longer a diabetic, I lowered my high blood pressure and my BMI is at the low end of the normal range. I have never been happier or felt healthier.

Heaviest... 194 (size 18) Lightest... 106 (size 0/00) Current... 106/107 Goal... met on maintenance mode! :-)

I'm with you! Grew up with it and still one of my favorites!

Purchased one for my grandson when he was 10 along with all the protective equipment! The only problem we found was with that electric power the boy wound up much further from home... hard to track a child with such mobility! When you are dealing with a highly active, outwardly mobile child... a power scooter turned into…

Seriously people! A 1200 calorie diet... Not healthy or sustainable! I am so tired of seeing this post! EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! Your age, body frame, metabolism and choice in food dictate what is healthy and sustainable. I have been using MFP for 615 days and have maintained a diet less than 1200 calories a day for over…

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this bread: Nature's Harvest - Multigrain 40 Calorie Bread With Net Carbs! Not only is it high protein (6 grams per slice) but it is low calorie and carb. I can't wait to eat it! The other food I eat as a "go to" source for protein is fish. Fish is technically not a meat product (I guess)...

You'all are too funny! Hi John!

You look good for your age... ! What we are not suppose to look good as we age...

I did not find it any more difficult to lose weight over 50, than I did when I was younger... it all boils down to determination. Now on the other hand, I have found it a bit easier to maintain my weight loss since menopause; less weekly/monthly variation. When I was younger, I never kept the weight off. However, a renewed…

I agree... using this method is how I achieved my weight loss and how I continue to maintain. It may not work for everyone but remember counting/tracking calories is an approximate science...
-
You look amazing... all that in just 5 months, fantastic!

I think you said it all with this post! I agree with your 2¢ and up it 2¢ more!

I started at a tight 18, down to a 0/00. Yes it can be done and NO, a zero is not too small for a small frame 5'4" female!
-
Hi, I am 5'4" and I too almost tipped the 200 pound mark. The greatest contributors to my 87 pound weight loss was: 1. Finding the right high protein, low calorie food for me 2. Sticking to the same foods (little deviation) 3. Logging my food every day 4. Cutting out sugar (I *WAS* a diabetic) 5. Walking (I walk 1-3 miles…
