Who are you kidding... being extremely overweight for many years and then losing 90 pounds... hell yeah people treat you differently. People would not sit next to me on the bus, they avoided eye contact and never smiled in my direction when I was overweight. Now, I am one of the first people others sit next to on the…

I am in a different place than you, I don't need to lose weight anymore. No I don't log everything. I don't log all the coffee or tea I drink... but I do approximate my water intake. I don't log spices, artificial sweetener, zero calorie cooking oil, or condiments. I don't measure my food... why be exact when food labels…

^^ This... LOL! Sorry, I buy it and refill the bottles with filtered water. Nothing like the convenience of grabbing a bottle of cold filtered tap water, from the fridge. Not to mention, when you want to add a flavor packet, so much easier and better to shake a bottle than try to stir the mix in a cup... After many uses…

My last chance to try to help a fellow "mispronouncer" LOL... :-) Re-posting my 2cents from page two of this feed... moving on to bigger and better things now! Re-post as follows: So I looked up the pronunciation and this is what my search returned... kerr ken doll Kuy - sounds like 'Ker' (rhymes with "her") kendahl = ken…

So I looked up the pronunciation and this is what my search returned... kerr ken doll Kuy - sounds like 'Ker' (rhymes with "her") kendahl = ken doll, like Barbie's Boyfriend So" kike in doll" may not be correct... :-) Heck what do I know, I never saw or heard the name/word until now! LOL!

^^ This... I am not a doctor either, but here on the West Coast some our Internists at UCSD Medical Center (some of the best physicians on the West Coast) never make health care decisions based on a first diagnosis. Which leads me to ask, you never mention if this was a first or second opinion... or if these doctor's…

Torani- - Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup, available at Walmart or on-line (Walmart is much more cost effective but selection is limited). Sugar free, ZERO CALORIES! I have been told it tastes great and it comes in a multitude of flavors... including cookie dough, french vanilla, chocolate macadamia nut, mint chocolate chip,…

If you typically eat little sugar... and then over consume sugary foods... heck yeah that can happen. Being a former type 2 diabetic who lost weight and reversed my diagnosis by virtually eliminating sugary items from my diet... not only will copious amounts of sugar make me feel nauseous, it gives me the "poops" (sorry…

^^ This... But I must add, with around a 200 pound weight loss over the last 3 years (if that was total sustained loss, and not just a cumulative number that does not take into consideration returning weight or weight gain) you must be doing something right. As with all weight loss you will plateau and you might need to…

Oh my... I had to Google "NSV"! "Non Scale Victory"... How funny is that... LOL! Great story and congrats on your success! Edited for grammar!

Personally, I would suggest other options... maybe talk with a nutritionist. Does your medical plan cover nutritionists? I was pre-diabetic, progressed to full on type 2diabetes and reversed my diagnosis by simply cutting out refined sugar, lowering carbs, reducing calorie intake and in general reading nutritional labels…

You all make me laugh... ! Nothing is ever "one-size fits all"... and as you age sometimes firming under-garments are all we have to hold and keep things in place! Rude awakening world... trust me, even a size 0 needs a little help just holding things in place!

Wow... your calorie intake is equivalent to mine... and I am a 105 pound, 5'3" female! Yeah, I suspect you are eating too little! Yes you will see a huge weight loss, but , without being an expert and in just my opinion (MIND YOU... I absolutely hate it when people tell me I am eating too little so this was a very…

68 degrees F when I left home this morning for work, the sun is out in downtown San Diego and we expect to see temps in the mid 70's... Yeah, it goes without saying (but I am going to say it anyhow! Lol!) I love Southern California!

I don't think I am a believer of this weight calculator... seriously, I know I am a little underweight but this calculator says I should weigh nearly 20 pounds more than I do to be a healthy weight (it states my "Ideal weight range is 124 - 136.4 lbs. (56.4 - 62 kg. You are underweight.) ... also, it does not factor…

My go to treat is so simple, takes seconds to prepare, and 80 calories or less... A sugar free snack pack pudding cup (70 calories for chocolate) scooped into a plain ice cream cone (10 calories). Switch the chocolate for sugar free vanilla and total calories are 70. So simple and a great after dinner dessert!

Beatles, Let It Be... a 45 single none-the-less!

For those followers who are really into numbers and nutritional data I ran the recipe through a nutritional analysis and came up with a slightly different number... 52.5 calories each if cut into 9 small squares. Being predisposition for diabetes, I run this analysis on most recipes to get the sugar counts. Bottom line is…

I really must say this has been an enlightening read for me. I thought it was just me who attracted losers and guys looking to simply "Hook-up"! One thing I have noticed of late the guys in my age bracket... who went through a break-up not so long ago... well they start looking for connections that are outside their…

You were so right to suggest this website and video. Seriously, I am the kind of person who seldom takes the time to watch these videos and I instantly closed the page; but, the other positive comments from others in our community sent me back for a second time. The video, which I thought was going to be so long and boring…

With low caloric intake to maintain my weight loss I eat every crumb on my plate! Seriously, it all has to taste good, otherwise I would not eat it! What does that make me? Hmmm... I don't know! LOL! I guess I am a fat eater! :-)

Suggestion... Try freezing your leftovers! Immediately after eating make lunch size portions and throw them in the freezer. Next day just thaw them out before warming up... works for me when I cook holiday meals for family. Best of luck to you, this can be a difficult time.

I think if you allow yourself to carry extra fat in your mid-section for many years the skin becomes so stretched that the "skin apron" will never go away. Case in point... I have a small frame, I am 5'4" tall. I gave birth to two babies, the first weighed nearly 11 pounds at birth and the second was 10.5 pounds. No "C"…

Found myself compelled to check out the link... OK, this was funny! Wouldn't it be grand to have something similar to this prerecorded and ready to go in moments like this! As a daily elevator user myself (of the Symphony Towers none-the-less!), I have noticed early mornings can be a little difficult for riders of "age",…

Sugar alcohol on labels suggest a sugar substitute was used in the item, a substitute like isomalt or Splenda. I was a diabetic and I cut out all unnecessary sugars from my diet and started consuming sugar substitutes. There is a lot of controversy out there on the health benefits of a diet full of sugar substitutes...…

Completely agree... I lost almost all my weight over two years ago and have been on maintenance for two years; bad habits will come back, if we welcome them. Bad eating habits, drug/alcohol addiction... all can be conquered and managed with a change in mind-set, will power and determination. Articles like these inspire me…

Energy and confidence! As the weight dropped I just felt happier all around and it improved everything, not just my health but my outlook (perspective) on life! :-)

Nine pages of feedback in just a few hours... yes you ruffled some feathers in the community! That said, I completely agree with you. We need to take responsibility for our own actions. When I was over-weight and diabetic, no one forced me to eat four candy bars in one sitting... it was my choice; just as it was my choice…

Me too! I think I have enough data points to write a book! But I only update my stats with the average... my weight will fluctuate 3 - 5 pounds in a day, if I updated my stats with every fluctuation, that would be taking my OCD's to another level! :-)
