I'm 5'8", 140 pounds and currently eating at my TDEE of 2200 calories for the next 3-5 weeks. After that I'll do a 10% cut.

Does everyone NEED to do the reset? Or is this mainly for people who have been eating at low levels, such as 1200 cals?

A word of advice- try to avoid the scale for at least a week or so after surgery. Your body is going to retain ALOT of fluid in efforts to repair which will show a gain on the scale. As long as you stay pretty close to your calorie goal you should be fine. Good luck!
