  • The Masters of Rome Book Series by Colleen McCullough?
  • Wow, what an incredible achievement! Thank you for posting and inspiring others. You look healthy, radiant and even YOUNGER!
  • I am 5'9" and my "perfect" goal weight would be returning to 130 lbs., but I would be thrilled to be anywhere between 130-140 lbs.
  • I, personally, find it harder to resist fast food when I allow myself to get SUPER hungry... So, to combat this, I try to always have water with me and a healthy snack in my bag. Also, I make myself look up the nutrition info. before I order fast food ALWAYS... A few weeks ago, I stopped at Taco Bell (ravenously hungry…
  • Hi, Jeannie! I will turn 40 in October, as well. That date is my target to be at my goal weight. I will send you a friend request and look forward to supporting you in your goal, too!
  • Do you, perhaps, restrict your diet too much during the days that you eat well? You can eat healthily and still indulge a bit, which I think is crucial to being able to sustain good eating habits (for me, anyway). I'm sorry that you are feeling so down... I've been there and I, finally, just got tired of starting over. As…
  • Perhaps you could do a "1st Anniversary" or "2nd Honeymoon" photo shoot to celebrate your progress since the wedding... Although I'm sure you looked stunning then, too! (Maybe even take an updated pic in your wedding gown.)
  • Wow... I clearly need to rethink the brand of jeans I've been wearing :ohwell: . I'm 5'9" and when I was 187 lbs., I was in a size 16. (I'm down to 178 now and I'm still wearing them, although they are now to the point of being ridiculously loose.)
  • You look gorgeous! Congratulations!
  • I workout at night... It keeps me from thinking about nighttime snacking and, when I go to the gym, it is less crowded.
  • I like both, but prefer Chobani because they make my two favorite flavors: Banana, Pear.
  • The biggest improvement for me has been eliminating nighttime snacking; I try to not eat anything after dinner. This is the main reason that I do most of my workouts at night... It keeps me busy and then, after the workout, I don't want to ruin it. (The second biggest improvement has been giving up diet soda.)
  • Friend request sent... :flowerforyou:
  • Count me in, Snowflake  We're already mfp friends, but I am 5'9" and currently weigh 178.5 lbs. I would love to reach 169 lbs. by the end of April, so that would mean I need a 9 1/2 lb. loss. Good luck everyone!
  • Welcome :flowerforyou: Please feel free to send me a friend request. I am on here every day and have an open diary to my friends. I have 48 lbs. to go to reach my goal.
  • Hello & thank you for the friend request! Unfortunately, I don't have any helpful advice to offer. However, if it is any consolation, I know just how you're feeling... I have been stuck at this 19 lb. loss for days. I stick to 1200 cal./day and the thought of upping my calories to help break the plateau is a bit…
  • Congratulations! Incredible transformation... One of the greatest 'before & after' pics that I've seen! Well done :D
  • Congratulations! You look sensational :D
  • I was a Cherry Coke Zero addict... drank 2-3 cans each day. At the first of the year, I decided (for the countless reasons of which you are already aware) to break the habit. In January, I limited myself to 1 each day and then on Feb. 1st - stopped completely and haven't had a drop since  I forced myself to drink…
  • I am 5'9" and my goal weight is 130 lbs. I chose that # as my goal because that had been my healthy weight for most of my adult life, prior to gaining... The weight that I am losing, was put on in the past 6 years. My high weight, my "rock bottom" weight was when I reached 200 lbs. I have lost 19 lbs. from the first of the…
  • Hello! I'm close... 5'9" I have lost 19 lbs. since the first of the year with 51 lbs. to go. I'll send a friend request!
  • I know exactly how I you feel, as I'm in a similar situation today in Indiana... We're expecting about a foot of snow later this afternoon :ohwell: When I'm cold & stuck in the house, I am always tempted to eat more. I have found that if I drink hot tea throughout the day, I stay warm & most importantly - full. I'm also…
  • [/quote] Strange, I eat tons of white flour tortillas and also eat white bread and white rice when I want and I've never had to be taken to the ER for food poisoning. If you balance and pre-plan what you are going to eat then a slice or two of white bread won't kill you. It won't make you stop losing weight. Eating more…
  • Hello! I am on MFP every day (w/ an open diary to friends) and would love to add some supportive friends. I provide comments, support & encouragement to my friends and would appreciate a few more who are interested in doing the same. Feel free to send a friend request.
  • Thank you :flowerforyou: Friend request sent!
  • Absolutely... Otherwise it would seem pointless. If I slip-up and eat junk, it'll be on there. Usually, that knowledge inspires me to make a better choice, but not always ;D
  • Like "hkmurphy83", I hit rock-bottom. I reached a weight that I NEVER thought I'd get to; I hated the way I looked & felt. My motivation (reasons for losing) are in my thoughts all the time and I won't allow myself to undo the progress that I've made. I make mistakes and experience occasional setbacks, but I forgive myself…
  • Hi, Joyce! I'd love to be your friend and will send a request :flowerforyou: I am 38 years old, have lost 18 lbs. with 52 lbs. to go. I devote time to commenting on & encouraging my MFP friends and would love to add friends that are interested in reciprocating. (If anyone else would like to send a request, please do.…
  • Hello! Feel free to send a friend request, if you like. I log my food & exercise every day, have an open diary to my friends and try to comment & provide encouragement often to my MFP friends. I welcome the support, as well.
