160lbs here, down 49lbs so far. Would love to share support with anyone with similar goals :)

Welcome to the group :)

^ This Well done for taking this seriously, and super job on the 33lbs lost... But your taking exclusion to an extreme. Moderation > exclusion. Its about forming healthy eating habits over the course of your journey.

Everyone loses differently. My Legs are slower than the rest of my body to shrink.

Just tagging for later.

But swashbuckling isn't in the MFP exercise database.... How would I know how many kcals are burned being a pirate? A HRM doesn't go with the look..... I MUST KNOW!

How many more threads can you push this book on? I would understand if its a book of personal inspiration for you, but a quick look at your recent thread posts list shows that you've pushed this book a few times. In fact the first page of your recent posts alone has you push this book 8 times in 8 posts.... Just a snippet…

Calm down, i'm here for advice as I don't have all the answers. I thank you for replying. And you are right I cannot do it in my present weight and muscle mass. This is an internet forum, people will disagree and I've already apologised for not making my original message clear enough.

Squats can and DO help runners, I'm the fault in the cycle. Maybe I should have expressed myself clearer, I should concentrate on my running until I have lost more weight. I know my bodyweight is causing the issue as running and squats together is becoming too much with my current muscle mass vs bodyweight.
-
I really find myself questioning squats, they interfere with my running routine. I did a kettlebell class last week with high intensity squats with weights and I couldn't walk properly for 5 days afterwards, missed all of my running sessions for one high intensity class. Sucks!

So was the part where I suggested the OP seek medical help / support for depression "wrong advice"? I would be interested to know if you are suggesting the OP should not seek trained medical help. Obviously because you are so passionately against that advice I assume you have some form of medical background or training to…

As a healthcare professional I can only advise that a diet alone will never cure this, if you haven't already you need to seek support.

I also have this crazy thing top of my list to do when I reach a healthy weight.... I want to crowd surf. I've worked gigs and events for about 6 years but I've never ever been crowd surfing.
-
If I ever feel like my motivation is waving I just look at the success stories on the forum. I also have a couple of old photos of myself at a healthy weight to aim for.
-
Not sure if you have it where you are but in the UK we have a product called Fry light which you can get in different flavours olive oil, garlic, etc.
-
Why would anyone want to be "thin" anyway? Surely its about becoming the healthiest you can be with the body you have.
-
Haven't given up or changed anything. Except my mindset on food and fair consumption.
-
You are at a healthy BMI range, has your GP/doctor told you you need to lose weight? If not you probably should be eating at maintainance and looking to tone and build muscle as well as sorting the biggest problem you have, which is your self image. You are at a healthy BMI? You've already won half the battle.

I'm not sure what forum setup they have but these threads and registrations must be dragging on server resources because literally they come in massive waves. Also it makes me wonder if someone felt particularly vindictive if they could easily DDOS the forums using the registration tool through bots. Everyone hates captcha…

I'm usually more open and friendly with women, I've never had many male friends but the ones I do we are close knit. Looking at my list there are more women (and each one is fabulous!) but I think there are statistically more women going through weightloss on MFP, but I could be wrong as its just a guess!
-
Obviously won't stop human spam but at least the bots will be kept at bay. This thread will probably be moved to feedback and suggestions but at least then you know a mod has read it!! smart ;)

Can't view the images because of my workplace's network security. Will take a look later :) From reading your post, well done :) Amazing job!

Hi Aunty ;) Lovely smile and great loss so far!

Finally bought GW2..... Got bored of LOTRO, SWTOR, STO, etc.... So far seems to be a much more polished MMO than other products.

I love the dress!!! Thanks I will let her know ;)

tl:dr article More sensationalism from a chem trail conspiracy site. I'm working on a good assumption that if aspartame is ever found to be dangerous (highly unlikely) that this sticky thread will be amended: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1308408-why-aspartame-isn-t-scary
