Not sure if serious, but I'll bite... Just grab a set of measuring cups from the store. You may or may not need it to portion out food, but you can definitely get a sense of how much food can fit in the single "1 cup" size. Good luck :)

Great job!

As someone who borrowed too much for school I can say without a doubt that I don't need anyone to pay my debt for me. Loan payments are a huge part of my monthly budget and surely my finances would be much easier without that debt, but that's not how personal responsibility works. /lucky enough to have a decent job //still…

I never workout on an empty stomach if I can help it. A small meal up to 30-60 minutes before my workout is what I like to do. No idea if there are any actual benefits versus an empty stomach, but it lets me feel like I'm ready to push myself and work hard because I know I have some gas in the tank :)

Great results! Keep it up and keep sharing.

Great idea. Or even just show up and ask someone at the front desk to give you a tour and rundown of the facilities and equipment. Make sure to ask all the questions you can think of. It can be slightly embarrassing to ask, but it will get you familiar with everything and you'll feel comfortable in no time :) Congrats on…

I'd say your face definitely looks thinner. Keep it up!

Order simple items, even ones that aren't listed on the menu. Most restaurants can accommodate a side of steamed vegetables with no butter, a plain baked potato and a plain grilled chicken breast. With some practice you can easily figure out what a cup of veggies looks like or a medium baked potato is without needing a…

Ahahaha... thank you for this!

Interesting read. Now for some honesty. I'm fat, and I've been fat for a long time. I used to be much fatter. Then, and now, when I see someone who is very overweight, my first reaction is "There is something fundamentally wrong with that person." I don't think I was necessarily judging their character, or the quality of…

I would also recommend C25K. It is possible that you are just getting used to it. Take your time and build a little bit each day you run. Personally I never run without eating first, especially in the morning. I don't seem to have cramping issues to I usually eat as little as 30 minutes before I run. But my meals are…

At least they had the decency to warn you! /once you pop...

JUST for the sake of discussion (and not because I think whole grains are bad for you) here are a couple links I found before I made my first post. Neither seems to have particularly compelling evidence, at least for me: http://www.livestrong.com/article/442559-is-eating-whole-grains-bad-for-you/…

I've never heard anything even remotely close to "whole grains are bad for you" but sure enough, a quick Google search does turn up results saying just that. Of course, you can Google just about anything and find a page that supports what you want to hear. I am no doctor, but I would say that whole grains are just fine as…

I actually think I saw this one posted here in a funny pictures thread... "You remind me of my big toe... 'cause I'm going to bang you on every piece of furniture I own."

Let me be almost the 350th person to say.... AMAZING JOB!
-
Keep at it, you will see it in your face eventually. Everyone is different so you lose from different places at different times. The last 50lbs or so that I have dropped have really made my face thinner. Good luck!

I can personally vouch for every single tip on this list. I like the cut of your jib, riz9007!

Eat purposefully. I don't know your situation but for me it was a process of learning to stop thinking about eating as primarily a means to satisfying myself and more as a means of delivering the nutrients my body needs to be healthy. Beyond that, great advice so far in this thread... log your calories and stay in range,…

Goodness that sounds awful. I can't even imagine living with that. The first thing I would do is change your Facebook privacy settings to prevent tagged photos from automatically appearing on your timeline. Check out this article that shows you how to set it so that you get to approve/reject any photos or posts that you…

Thanks guys and gals!

THIS is the best attitude you can have, hands down. Stick with it and one day you will look back at this decision and think "This is where my amazing new life started". Great post, great plans, thanks for sharing and best of luck!

The trick for me is rarely ordering anything that is specifically listed on the menu as a single meal. Regardless of available nutrition info, almost anywhere I go out I can order a small or large house salad with no cheese and no dressing (or low fat/low cal dressing on the side) with a grilled chicken breast on top and a…

WOW incredible transformation! You rock.

I have a tatoo of a Miracle Whip jar wearing a brunet wig, so I'm really enjoying this thread.

Great post, sounds like you have the bug now haha. Thanks for sharing

Now you've got me searching my music folder haha! This is more "rapcore" (whatever that is... thanks wikipedia!) than traditional punk or hardcore, but this song might push you to a new level: Downset - Anger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lqh_AzlEjKU

I always get pumped up when Dead Kennedy's Holiday in Cambodia pops up on my playlist when I'm at the gym. The rampaging guitar march always gets me going. Might be an acquired taste though... some people really don't like his voice!

Thanks for the tip... I just started using "My Tracks" from Google. It's free and provides great tracking of your course on the map as well as a lot of good data. You can also easily export the tracks into Google Maps/Google Earth for viewing off your phone.

This part of the article really really stood out to me: "start saying "I know I will lose weight if I can figure out how to get myself to do what we know works to lose weight." " This has been my experience. Learning the little tricks that work for me figuring out how to get myself to repeatedly do the small handful of…
