And this. Def concur on the shirt...gotta earn it before you wear it.

You don't need to do anything different than usual diet wise leading up to a half. You might want to carb up a bit the night before and have some lean protein, and definitely don't cut calories this week, but carbo loading several days before the race is totally unnecessary, especially for a Half. I have run quite a few…

OK, another one. Had to see what all the fuss was about with Quinoa. LOVE IT. Had cup of Quinoa with some chicken breast, a sliced quarter avocado to add some healthy fat and a few teaspoons of habanero salsa for flavor, really good healthy lunch!

Made these and they have a nice dense moist texture , really good, but 20 servings in a 9x9 pan is a stretch. More like 12. That would make the calories more like 150 I think. Which is more realistic. Still a fairly decent splurge. Even my kids ate them.

Wow, you already look phenomenal, great job!

Amazing transformation!

applause, life is too damn short

There have been a number of recent studies touting the benefits of a glass of red wine. I was drinking on average a glass of wine or beer almost nightly before MFP. Been drinking less just because I'm cutting back on anything that isn't water, except for milk on my cereal. And most days I don't want to waste the calories…

I look much better at 45 than I ever did in my early 30s.

These are awesome pics. Thanks for the motivation.

I refused to eat avocado until I was about 18 and my sis-n-law questioned my manhood :) That was it, it is one of my absolute favorite natural foods. So great on sandwhich, in a wrap, on salad....And guacamole...oh God, hold me back. I could eat an entire bag of chips...and of course beer is required...oy this is why I…

Brought the road bike to work and did 13.6 at lunch. Super hard riding into the wind, but a blast coming back with it at my back.

When it's windy, ideally take a route that will send you into the wind on the way out and have it at your back on the way home. It will feel great to have it behind you after fighting it.

I do carrots with spicy hummus too, love it!

keep em coming, need some new tunes

Anyone can feel free to add me for friendly motivation. My diary is not perfect, especially on weekends, but I post everything. Otherwise there is absolutely no point to tracking at all.

I bought two, the Oats and Honey with toasted coconut, really good, and Maple Walnut Clusters with Chia and Quinoa, haven't tried that one yet. Now I'm going to have to go get all the other flavors. I am a granola fanatic!

Order from KIND web site or check your grocery. Wegman's just started carrying it and has it on sale for $3.99.

Target C9 line is excellent and very cheap for tops and bottoms. You can get great deals on running shoes online at Roadrunnersports.com or holabirdsports.com.

This injury is kind of two pronged, plantar fasciitis which is really long slow recovery and that in turn caused some post tib tondonitis from trying to land on my forefoot instead of heel striking. Ran for an hour on treadmill @ 8:30 pace for first time in about 2 months today and it didn't kill me so maybe I can actually…

Hell yeah dude, save yourself $100. Mine is actually stronger, you couldn't break this thing if your were 400 lbs.

Donna is right, HRM will calculate calorie burn based on height weight sex age and may use different formula than the treadmill. HRM would likely be more accurate. I highly recommend Polar or Garmin, as both are quite accurate and reliable. 930 calories might be accurate. I'm just over 200lbs and can burn 1,000 calories in…

I think my diary is public, if not I'll adjust. I seem to go over on my protein on a regular basis, not sure if that's bad. I try to eat mostly whole grains as well. Whole wheat bread, wraps or pasta where possible, but don't like to deny occasional detour. I get enough carbs. But if I don't track, I frequently go over on…
