Wonderful progress. I have increased my efforts on blood sugar control and am hoping for something in the high 5s or low 6s at my next checkup (2nd week of July) down from 7.5%. You are setting a strong example.

Fitnesspal will add your exercise calories to your net calories allowed for the day. So if your target is 1600 calories a day and you have entered exercise worth 1000 calories your target becomes 2600 calories of food to consume that day. As a diabetic, I had my quarterly docs appointment last week. He asked me how much long lasting insulin I was taking and I said 40 units. He asked twice a day and I said no just once. The last appointment I was taking 45 units twice a day! I still have a ways to go but it is nice to cut your insulin requirement in half…

I wanted to be less than 25 BMI so I picked 185. My twin weighs 180 so something in that range sounded good.
